Jones has a nice opportunity here to earn more minutes. Like this lineup w JWIII, Rui and Jones together. Norvell isn’t doing enough to earn key minutes; maybe Jones will.
“I don’t expect us to be perfect anytime soon,” guard Silas Melson said, “but one thing I do expect is trying to get better every day and playing tougher, harder and more physical than the opponent.”

I'd not put him in either league.......just yet. Josh is coming along gangbusters though.

I think Few's putting in the new guys because he understands the starting 5 can't play the whole game. We need subs. Coery is an amazing frosh. Understands the game beyond his years. AND they're doing well.

I like what I'm seeing from Rui. I think his height/length combined with his athleticism is bothering their bigs

Rui looks like a sophomore out there.

agree. I was speaking more to offensive game. I think Goss last year is what I was expecting from Perkins when he came in. Now I think more of pangos type game from him.

    the difference defensively is profound
running the shooters off the 3 pt line, daring the chuckers to try it, awesome execution. now perhaps in the longhorn heads a bit too, they look a bit rushed

lol. Halftime interview of Few: Q: What do you think of Rui? A: I don't know what to say about that. (And walks away, ending the interview.)

Can't figure why Coach Few is leaving Kispert in during key defensive moments, such as end of half, or end of games.

I gush over Kispert get recognize his limitations.

It was a reason we went to OT in the first place, now guarding their best guard at end of half.

    Silly.

Props to Rui for filling in nicely. Looked great

great defensive half, mostly M2M, even with Larsen out there, some doubling and switching but looks like Zags trying to play pretty straight up and fight over the screens and stay in front of/with the dribbler after forcing penetration

Got to focus on taking care of the ball and maintain defensive intensity. This is the kind of game that GU lets teams back in. I guarantee Texas is going to make a run and will tighten this game back up again.
