Default Texas A&M and Gonzaga to scrimmage October 28 in Denver

I haven't seen this posted yet, from Twitter:

Gonzaga and Texas A&M expected to scrimmage in Denver on Oct. 28. Aggies beat the Zags 62-61 in semis of 2015 Battle 4 Atlantis

I wonder where in Denver the scrimmage will be held...?

Josh Perkins' dad owns/runs a rec center/gym in Denver. Maybe that's a coincidence, because I kinda doubt they'd hold something like this in a little rec center gym.

But no need to seat fans, so a Rec gym might be perfect. The Perkins connection might put A&M off.
    It's not funny.

Stephen Gentry mentioned this scrimmage in Denver at the Tip off Dinner, but I can't remember the details. If it was mentioned, maybe someone else who attended caught where it was to be held. Anyone??

I think they've played some scrimmages at the Pepsi Center there? Perkins is also a Regis alum, which is a Jesuit run HS.

Why would A&M be put off?? It's a scrimmage. No one is present other than the teams and their staffs.

Should be a good test. They return their five leading scorers from last year's team that went 16 - 15.

TJ Hogg and Tyler Davis will be a handful for Zags.

and trocha-morelos. iirc, he hit several big shots against us in that b4a game.

tho, looking at his stats since, it doesn't appear he's really one of their main guys...

they really under performed considering the talent on the roster...robert williams would have been a lotto pick had he come out...one of the biggest surprises after miles bridges.

No kidding on the secret nature of the scrimmage. They arnt even going to let Josh’s dad watch.

Ridiculous really. What is the harm in lettine media and others close to the kids watch a dadgum scrimmage?

There has yet to be a year where something did not "leak" out...or slip

Whether its Goodman himself, or a player, or someone from the opposing team.

    Something is always spilled.

I would imagine the 'secrecy' is so that it does not become another game that can be counted against the allotted number. And yes, word almost always gets out and we fans wait with baited breath. (Or with bated breath if you aren't a fishing person.)
    It's not funny.

From what's been said in past years, these are as much practice as game. Coach doesn't open up too many practices either.

Will be interesting to hear how the front court handles or is handled by Robert Williams. Real test for J3.

    Go ZAGS!

actually think davis is a tougher cover...he's an absolute load. j3 can match their williams in terms of athleticism

Agree, we're talking about opposite ends of the court.

My bad for not being clear.

Pepsi Center is where they are doing it. In the Nuggets practice gym.

That’s pretty cool...Zags vs Aggies in Nuggets’ practice facility. What’s the connection and/or payoff for Nuggets? Are their talent evaluators allowed to watch the scrimmage? Not saying it’s necessarily anything other than simply Nuggets being generous but curious how they came to serve as hosts for this scrimmage.

this is triple hearsay, but I was told when it was starters vs. starters, Zags smacked them pretty good.
