Don't Let No. 1 Seeding Fool You: Gonzaga Is America's Cinderella
Here is a good story around Gonzagas basketball history.
"Jeff Eisenberg: "Players would sign out sweats and jerseys at the beginning of every school year and turn them back in nine months later. Sneakers were the only gear players received new, but obtaining a fresh pair typically required proving the old ones had a hole in the bottom."

Final Four Prediction: Gonzaga Wins it All
If ya need a 'feel good' kick in the posterior .... read onBut they're not stopping at the Final Four. Here's why Gonzaga will go 2-0 this weekend and win the first championship in program history.![]()
Caught most of the segment with Bilas on Mike & Mike this morning. Jay says Karno's definitely NBA ready, though he had concerns about Shem's back and the 82 game schedule.
He said the sure NBA prospect is Zach, and he wasn't sure that Zach's coming or going this year. I got the distinct impression that Jay thinks another year in college would be better for Zach's development.
A little perspective on that positive piece................

The one that made my jaw drop a little related to KU coach Bill Self:
Self gets all of the athletics department’s royalty payments from the sale of in-store retail merchandise by KUStore.com during every June, including dorm sales during basketball camps.

SI's final Power Rankings. Zags come in at #1 but there is some amazing analysis by Luke Winn (as always) of how tourney teams are defending Karnowski. Also gives Zags a 45% chance of winning the whole damn thing which is nice
