Was that March or Reg Season ? Great crowd wow. This game has potential to be GREAT recruiting tool if players and coaches display A/B+ level of game.

2015. Kaminsky and Dekker aren't playing for the Zags are they? I still have nightmares about Big Frank, torched Arizona 2 years in a row in the Tourney. Hasn't done much of anything in the NBA as far as I know.

Allonzo Trier to return from suspension and play tomorrow? First time all season he's been allowed/able to travel with the team. He's on the plane and practicing fully again.

He was a Zag killer in Spokane last season, and easily their best guard down the stretch.

If "Zo" can go, this is an entirely different game and Zona team.

Clever move by Coach Miller if in fact Trier plays today. Sure to give Zona extra confidence, depth and obviously scoring punch.....with Zags caught by surprise tactically?

I love it though. Hope he plays and after losing a nail biter to Zags today Wildcats proceed to win the Pas12 this year!!

If Trier did make the flight, that suggests he either has been cleared and will play Saturday against Gonzaga or is just traveling along while paying his own way.

If he was still ineligible while his eligibility situation remained under appeal, he would most likely not be able to travel without paying for it himself (he didn't travel to Honolulu or Las Vegas earlier this season).

Trier is the Wildcats' top returning scorer, having averaged 14.8 points per game as a freshman last season.

Zags need to be ready for Trier to play today. Strategic move. Outside Team Lonzo Ball, Arizona won't play another Top-10 team the entire season.

    Talk about motivation.

Have a friend staying at team hotel, & close contact with the team (mostly coaches) texted me:

"Trier expected to play today. Shocker."

Someome on the Zag staff knows something...or expecting something.

I thought suspended due to an eligibility issue, but apparently not. Some said entire season, yet assumed at least until 2nd Semester if eligibility concerns.

    Interesting.

He put up 15 & 6 vs Zags last season. A dynamic 6'5" guard, who is one of the best dribble penetrating guards in college hoops.

If he plays, this becomes a legit Top 10 match up.

Zags could be humbled quickly today. We know their game plan will be precise and unlike anything we have seen. They have the horses to play our bigs 1 on 1. Guards wont be taking wide open 3's today.

So should we expect Trier to come in firing on all cylinders after being out all this early season? Has he been practicing this whole time with the team?

. I gotta think Trier is gonna play. I just can't see him flying with the Team to LA just to sit the bench and cop a couple of TV cameos. He didn't fly to Hawaii or Vegas but chose to "pay his own way" to LA? I'm not buying. He's gonna play!
    I hope he plays

Yes, I hope he plays, but really, I don't think it matters.

All of the players at Arizona are good athletes .

Miller is also one of Bart's top 25 coaches and he is intense and so are his players. Very good game coach.

They will play defense for 40 minutes so no lead will be safe against them .

He says they are also a work in progress, but I suspect they have made more progress in their identity.....they all know when they come there that they will play defense and the offense will be whatever it is that day.

Like Butler, they will do their thing at their tempo.

Arizona plays games like this all the time.

Gonzaga will have to play their best to win and for some reason the Zags don't shoot a high percentage with those backgrounds

Arizona might lose, but they won't beat themselves. They are well coached, confident and have no confusion about what they will do

If he is going to play, why would he be put in a position to pay his own way?

I don't think this was a strategic maneuver or mind game by Arizona. They would have much preferred having Zo play from the first game, it was out of their hands I believe. I also heard he only recently returned to practicing with the team.

While I don't think that they were being strategic in the sense of holding him out until this game, like that was the plan for him all along, I do strongly feel there is some gamesmanship here by keeping it really quiet. If he is going to play today then obviously their coaching staff knew that he would be cleared long before today. Not that I blame him or care because you have nothing to gain by announcing it to the world. Why let your competition game plan for it.

Hey, to be the best you have to beat the best. I hope Trier plays. Gonzaga had their chances the last two years. I think they will have their chances this year. Just have to rise up and win.
