The foo's threads have been so boring! Counting is fun, for a while.

You can only have one type of sandwich (burgers don't count) for the rest of your life, meaning one you make at home with chips and beer as you sit to watch a game. Which one?

I gotta go with plain old deli sliced ham, Kraft wrapped Cheese (we're talking sandwich here), a tiny bit of butter, plain yellow mustard, I like the better made white breads, but will eat whole grain, easy.

Hot pastrami on Rye with mustard from Katz's Deli. Heaven on earth. But since I need to make it myself...

Hot sopressata, hot capicolla, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella on italian bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Note... by hot I mean spicy. Now... I might need to buy the meats in bulk and get my own slicer... but it'd be damn worth it.

1. The doner kebabs from a Turkish cafe in Kaiserslautern, Germany are the best sandwiches I've ever had. I have never been able to find good Turkish food outside of Europe/Southwest Asia.

I have to make it myself? PBJ has been my go to for forever. Sometimes I substitute honey for the J.

Now if someone else is doing the cooking, it's pretty hard to beat a bbq pulled pork sandwich when someone knows what they're doing with a smoker (I don't have a clue how to do it myself).

We're treading very close to the "Can you even have half a sandwich?" territory. These definitions are like flypaper to the Foo.

We should have a sandwich party and hash all this out.

IMO the gyro is totally a cylinder sandwich, because it uses a proper bread. The wrap on the other hand? It's using a tortilla, which - while popular to say so - is not so much a "flatbread" as a thin disc of griddled flour. Not sure I'd call a wrap a sandwich; it's just too weak. It's a cold cut burrito or some such thing.

Speaking of Cylinder sandwiches. Last time I was in Montana I stumbled upon a restaurant called The Staggering Ox. Sandwiches were cylinder shaped weird idea but kind of cool.
