New force of nature potentially discovered: https://www.bbc.com/news/56643677

This looks pretty interesting, we'll see if the preliminary results hold upon further experiment.

Findings are from 'a lab near Chicago'. How about calling it the Fermilab. It is only one of the foremost particle physics labs in the world!

    That. Is. Amazing.

I have been reading more and more on consciousness, and they're making a big case that we've way way underestimated animal intelligence for a long time. Yes, dogs are smart and can figure out what you're thinking, everyone knows that.

But if you think about a bee figuring out where to go bc of a dance?

There are ant colonies that have storage rooms, meeting places, maternity wards, bathrooms (and the very bottom) and even hospitals (all in ant form) deer know when it's deer season from the smell and first gun shot,

pheasants and ducks knew how to avoid hunters big after opening day.

And none of us should eat calamari ever again (even though it's good) anymore than we should eat dolphin or dog, they say squid have personalities, recognize people, hate certain people, remember everything, can learn,

and elephants visit the graves of their dead - there's no evolutionary advantage to that, it's not instinct.
