I can't figure out how to post a picture from Instagram, but this https://www.instagram.com/p/BGACd1rP...openstreetspgh was on Sunday. They closed down a few streets so that people could bike or walk in the streets. We had fun seeing stores we often miss while driving, and they had activities for kids too. It was a fun outing, and hopefully we can go to the next 2 this summer. My husband enjoyed the relatively flat course, pulling the boys in the bike trailer can be hard!

That is: "The Carson Mansion (1886) in Eureka's CA, Old Town...."

    Story about them: http://www.mdvaden.com/redwood_carson_mansion.shtml

Eureka, CA is a small town on the northern coast of CA.
It is near the Redwood forest and the notorious Humboldt County where the best maryjane has been grown (not legally) in CA.

What I remember most of Oregon City:

A piece of my heart never left here (Traben-Trarbach, Germany):

Yes, it's true...I was born under a Sunflower in Salina Kansas! Actually at the now defunct, Smoky Hill AFB, conceived in Okinowa and parents made it back for me to be born in Kansas.

    Did I mention Kansas?

I left at 6 months and have driven through the state twice in the ensuing 67 years. I was greatly impressed.
    It's not funny.
