Stop taunting Lothar!
Anyone else have the yearly GU calander they send out?
Lothar doesn't like the annual G.I.F. photo.
It hovers over Lothar's work space for a whole month screaming, "Look at us, we spent 9 months in Italy and while you're stuck at your desk - not in Europe. Ha ha. You suck!"
Can't they just give us another month of some dorky students in a lab or something.

This is a photo of Piesport. In most stores in the US, you can find wine from the Piesporter Michelsberg vineyard. IIRC, Michelsberg can be observed in the far right of this picture.
Piesport is about a 10 minute drive south of my old apartment.

Enkirch, a town a few miles north...always an excellent wine fest. It was there that I learned a memorable lesson. Wait until Monday night to attend a winefest, as that was the night the locals came out (few tourists).
My last year, my friends and I were determined to sample every one of the 22 wines offered that year. As luck would have it, we never reached #8. #7 was such an excellent Spatlese, we stopped there. By the time I was on my third bottle, I was speaking fluent German.
