Personally, I hope Heister knocks it out of the park, uses it as an audition tape to a bigger market (Seattle) and becomes the new local TV guy for the Huskies. . .

    Early Christmas present. . .

I like the way you think.

Looks like the GoZags' tradition of listening to Hudson/Santangelo a few seconds ahead of the "silent" television WILL be in play tonight. Always nice to know what's going to happen a bit ahead of the actual t.v. image.

That strategy has worked pretty well the last 5 weeks with the Seahawks .... i.e. letting Raible and Moon fill me in on what's happening slightly ahead of the t.v.

If memory serves, Heister raises his game a good bit for the ESPN broadcasts. Farnham's style isn't especially cheeky, and he generally doesn't swirl (though there were some funny exchanges back when Dave Flemming was with him a couple of years back).

All in all, I'm ok with him...he isn't Bill Walton or Bobby Knight...

This boards obsession with announcers and Heister in particular is CRINGE

HOW about paying more attention to the game and less crying about emailing Roth to have a man lose his job?

Heister really is much better when he's announcing for ESPN. I don't get it; does he think Spokane likes his back porch shtick?

Is it too much to ask that he put on his ESPN persona for EVERY game. He isn't that bad on ESPN. I think that is what bothers me and others.

He has more work to do in this broadcast: Scripted promos for other ESPN programming, interplay with Farnham, probably a better director / producer in his earpiece too.

I take it you watch very little sports outside of GU games.

It's a 20+ point game. Usually announcers go OFF TOPIC.

Ok, he just said Sabonis was a "big kid from the waist down, really thick." Phrasing!

Heister called his best game of the season. Even the announcers ran better execution, tonight.

    Can he win the GUnit?
