Sunny misses her patented mid-ranger. Could be the game there.

    Hard fought. What a battle.

Zags down 4. This will be painful after that big lead. Ouchee.

    Yes it is.

Tennessee was the better team when it counted.

Lady Zags had a helluva run this year.

I thought it was over when they were up 17... I think maybe they did also?

Those 3 straight And-1s started it.

    Vols win 73-69.

Great season by Zags. No Vandersloot to bring this Elite Eight home.

Tough loss. Eerily similar to the late game collapse by the men's team against UCLA in '06.

That was gut-wrenching to watch. I feel so bad for our kids.

Props to Tennessee for fighting back.

Holy moly the lady Zags choked hard in that game. I have no idea how you blow a 17 point lead with 6 minutes to go.

Didn't have a Vandersloot to bring this game home. Ladies did very good making it to SS. This has to hurt all involved. But the 11 seed gave the 2 seed all they could handle.

Lack of experience at the helm. Now the ladies have their UCLA game. I don't mean to sound so harsh, that's just how I see it.

Epic collapse. Very sad. If you can step on the necks of your opponent when you are tied with 1 minute left, how can it be unsportsmanlike to step on necks when you are up by 17. Uconn wouldn't think twice about it and does anyone say Auriemma is not a classy guy?

In the adult game, no lead is safe until the horn sounds. EVER.

That was a tough one. They went to the prevent offense too soon and didn't attack the press. Plus a couple of missed front ends of 1 and 1s. Great season by the Lady Zags.

Not a steady enough PG. Full-court press killed them. Can't count how many times our ball handler turned it over in final 10 mins.

Also, cannot, simply CANNOT miss 3 straight front-ends of 1 on 1's down the stretch.

    Refs favored aggression, Vols responded.

Still, 11 seed takes 2 seed to OT.

I have to agree that point guard was were we were lacking. She looked scared to shoot even. I'll admit I don't follow them closely is she just not a shooter?

    Default Stockton coming

Looks to me like the door is wide open for Laura Stockton to step up and become the starting point guard next year.

Agree they missed a true point guard. After they were up 17 points, they had a ton of possessions where they didn't even get a shot up... That hurt a lot.

Huge accomplishment for a first year head coach to get as far as they did. She is young and will get better. She also has good players coming in. I don't get to see them play as much as the men but I wish them the best.

I don't know if she'll be starting next year, but I've watched Laura a lot in high school and AAU play. She's never intimidated. She often leaves blood in her wake when she brings the ball down the court. That aggressiveness was missing today at the end of the game. Still, it was a great season, and for an eleven seed to have storied Tennessee on the ropes for most of the game was fun to see.

    Yep, instant starter.

She's considered one of the top PG recruits on the West Coast.

Her top attribute per ESPN recruiting: "consistent game manager & floor leader".

That is precisely what the Lady Zags were lacking. I mean, their bigs dominated offensively, yet we couldn't get the ball past half-court down the stretch.

    Big opportunity for Laura.
