This is probably the best home court advantage (crowd wise) that UCI has ever had, at least this year. PJ Carlisimo is going crazy on the radio.

Another "no call" probably effects the outcome!

How many games have finished now with a non call on an obvious foul? Wow! Disgusting! You can't just swallow the whistle and jog off! You are being paid to Ref the game, so do your #### job!

Louisville looked horrible. Got all the calls and still should have lost.

Oof.. unbelievable no call. More like a body check than any effort at the ball. Have to feel for that UC Irvine player. They deserved to have a chance to make a play.

That no-call was ridiculous. Blatant foul. Louisville had a foul to give, but the no-call completely ended UCI's chances. EWU got the ref job yesterday. Not liking the fact that these calls never seem to go both ways when it comes to big name programs.

I was pulling hard for the upset, and just stinks to have it end like that. Would UCI have won? Who knows, but they should've at least had a chance at a 3 point heave. If you can't handle the pressure maybe you shouldn't be working Tournament games.

I try not to think about it, but it seems like there is always more upsets on the first day. Sometimes I can't help but wonder if someone needs some "Louisville's" and "GeorgeTowns" left in the Tourney for ratings.

Pitino has complained all year that his team can't shoot from the outside. So it was going to be tough for them with the 7' 6" center for UCI. As you saw Louisville got most of their points in transition and on drives. It was an ugly win. I thought UCI lost it more than Louisville won it.

Lots of family and friends are UCI alumni. Coach Turk is a neighbor too. Would've been nice to see them advance but at least they got a taste of this madness and hopefully will try again next year.

Valpo currently shooting a better % from 3 than they are from 2 and the free throw line

And, it gets worse with each game. Coaches and players see the teams getting away with it and damn sure are not going to be left out looking in.

I think that might also match up with teams on the second day seeing how easily teams seeded better/worse than them falling on their faces and come out and play harder from the very beginning - take nothing for granted.

Valpo with terrible play at end of the game. Maryland wins by 3.
