Default GUnit of the Game: Pepperdine - 2.14.2015

Tied at the at the half following great shooting by the Waves and a Zags team that shot 34%, the second half saw the Zags hit their stride and emerge with a Valentine's Day win.

Who gets the box of chocolates as the GUnit of tonight's game ?

Pangos kept us alive in the first half with a little help from Sabonis and Wiltjer.

FYI Dan just said, "It was pretty obvious to see who the Gonzaga player of the game was.." prior to interview with PANG!

I think we lose that game (or very close) without Pangos.

Pangos, just has a tremendous feel for the game. Stepped up and created the separation when the team really needed scoring. Then ran the offense and got the team going while pushing the pace.

Great game by KP. 19 points, and numerous great passes that also went unrewarded due to easy misses...

Shout out to Domas for a great game with awesome energy and one tenacious dunk!

Dranginis is closer to Hart in terms of giving the Zags a sparks off the bench, IMO.

Bell's scoring, of late, is resembling Mike Hart. Hope he snaps out of it.

I hope he snaps out of it too. Better now to go through the slump than later however.

I wonder if his wrist has healed. His defense was so smooth tonight. He's a very mature player.

Pangos was the best player on the floor, but I voted for him for breaking the career scoring record.

One of the easiest selections of the season - Pangos (congratulations on all-time GU win list!) Would have liked to have seen Emac to help with that press... And Gary had a good game or two last NCAA tournament, so I'm hoping he will start heating up again.

Kevin Pangos. He seems to save these great games when the Zags really need him. I also thought Sabonis played another outstanding game. He is so tough. He is beginning to grow on me because of his toughness. Once again the reffing really sucked that second half.

    Go Zags!!!

    Kevin Pangos.

Arguably the best point guard of the Mark Few era. A purist would believe he is an All American. The press will look at his season scoring numbers and move on to the next guy. If asked to assume the same role that Dickau did, he would have delivered. Instead he has delivered in a different, unselfish, equally effective way.

GU is the #1 team in field goal percentage. This is because the big men are scoring with high percentage shots. Someone has to effectively get the ball to those big men in a way that consistently sets them up for success. In other words, Pangos is a major influence on why GU is the #1 team in field goal percentage. That is All American level play by a legit All American.
    I miss Mike Hart

Pangos looked like he was having fun tonight. Took some shots he usually doesn't take. Gary always shows up in big games, not worried.
