A long-time member of the Gonzaga University ROTC cadre, CSM(Ret) Thomas Williams passed late last week. Sergeant Major Williams was a great asset to the ROTC program and he formed life-long friendships with the men and women who passed through GU's 'Bulldog Battalion' in the 70's and 80's.

Thanks, Reno. He was Mr. Williams when I went through ROTC. He loved talking to us about the Army and kept the ROTC Department running seamlessly.

Thanks, RZ. He was one of the reasons I have so many good memories of GU.

I made a special trip to see him after Jump School in 1976. He was mad at me for not going after Summer Camp in '75,'but I just couldn't afford it. He rode me pretty hard my senior year, but it all paid off.
