I haven't been inside The Orleans for a GU game in 4 or 5 years. Students are represented but it's definitely an older demographic. Less wine and cheese, more beer and a shot types, which I proudly represent.

Have you ever driven back with missing time?

Like it was 8 in the evening one moment, and then you sort of realize that it's 3:00 a.m. and you're a mile from where you remember?

That happened to me several times driving back and forth between SCL and Vegas, which I think explains quite a bit actually.

I'm glad to hear it's more the beer and shots type of fans who attend. Definitely more my demo as well.

There have been two and both got locked.
Start a third with the warning that a political statement is deleted and results in a 1 week to 1 month ban, no exceptions and no appeals.

A nice Vegas excursion with fellow Zags comes to an end early in the morning as I have a 440 mile drive home. The mission is to arrive safely at home around 4:30pm, enough time to unload the car, tend to the dogs, and prep for the Gonzaga - SMC WCC championship tussle.

    Safe travels to all.

I was safe. Stopped in Tonopah for a bite, got off the road for about 30 minutes.

Got on the freeway at Tropicana at 8:45am. Pulled in to my driveway at 4:15pm.

Ready to watch the Zags !

Just think of how productive we'll be next week since we won't be filling out brackets and watching games

(coming to a meme on twitter very soon, if not already there )

The country may be more productive with March Madness than with the Coronavirus.

I'm not advocating a point of view above SWZag, I'm predicting one. . .

I'll miss the tournament. Always one of my favorite sporting events.

    For sure!

I was being a little sarcastic (if that really is the right word). I think people would be more productive too, but I wonder if we can measure productivity loss due to disappointment and sadness due to no Touney!!

Began the day noting the sad and cruel anniversary March 15 brings each year. My father Roy passed this day in 2007; my wife Lisa passed this day in 2016. On most days, I try to recall them in gentle, fun, warm , and loving ways. On the 15th of March, I have to try harder. . .

    Be careful out there.

Sad day for me too Reno. My dad passed away on March 15th 2014.

Dr. Brad Spellberg is Chief Medical Officer at the Los Angeles County-University of Southern California (LAC+USC) Medical Center. He is also Medical Director of Biosciences for Los Angeles County, and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the Keck School of Medicine at USC.

Dr. Spellberg gave a presentation (akin to a TED Talk) at the Chadwick School in Paso Robles late last week. Good information from a subject matter expert. The Q&A portion is worthwhile. One thing I found comforting was his plain language explanation of why and how hand washing is effective.

    Post Survive and Advance

One of the catch phrases associated with the NCAA tournament is "survive and advance." I've adopted it as my COVID-19 motto.

    Be careful out there.

There are a ton of smart, inventive, funny people in this community. I wish all of you a safe healthy journey through the financial and health care war zones.

    Default Reno's Place

I don't think I will feel comfortable flying or attending an indoor concert, play, or movie until there's a vaccine for Covid-19

Seeing age 65 (November 2022) seems a worthwhile goal at this point. . .

Looking forward to warmer weather and doing some camping.

I must have missed the 6th grade lesson when the nun said:

" Act like everything is normal whenever a highly contagious disease invades your surroundings. Go to work, eat at restaurants, sit next to people you can't account for at movies, concerts, and ball games. Visit hospitals, nursing homes, and doctors offices. Get your haircut. It's okay to get sick and die. People die all the time."

I enjoyed the latest season of Better Call Saul. Westworld has been intriguing. . .two episodes to go.
