I don’t envy those who have to police this madness following a bad loss. If I was a mod, I’d be sorely tempted to give the whole board a little Edna Mode tough love when we go off the rails like that.

When it spills over into speculation on recruits, questioning player's heart. . .post-loss bus drivers fall all over themselves trying to be the first behind the wheel.

It's why I don't follow game threads any more. I get all of toxic waste i need from following politics. Not going to let that kind of bile taint the experience of following the GU basketball program.

I hope you are all finding ways to connect with friends and family during these periods of isolation. I’m working to set up a poker night with friends and family in three time zones.

Giving my daughter a ride from the auto repair shop to her home this morning. I will be wearing a homemade cloth mask as a precaution.

Last Friday, a group of us held a Zoom cocktail video chat.

This is what hubby did last week. Someone backed into our van last September and it's been hard coordinating getting it in for an estimate since it's the only car we can fit all the kids car seats in. We took it for an estimate in January and then last week the shop wanted to know if we wanted to bring it in (I assume he's trying to keep his workers busy, and it's not like we were going anywhere so that part actually worked out well). Wore a mask, came home, showered and changed clothes.

I've heard about the zoom cocktail hours people are doing, sounds like a great idea!

I just finished playing poker night with my dad and two brothers in four different locations using Zoom and the PokerStars app. It was a nice way to connect with family that I hadn’t seen in nearly a year. I’m going to try to set up similar reunions with other groups of people that I rarely see. I think the next game might feature a few Zag friends that I haven’t seen in more than a decade.

Celebrated the end of my first year of retirement on May 1st. It has been an extraordinary 12 months.

One example: In the month of April, my total outlay for gasoline for my vehicles was $20.11. Most of my my miles driven were to: Home Depot, COSTCO, or the grocery store. All are within 2 miles of my home.

Friday night is martini night at Casa Reno. This evening I will sip the first one with thoughts of the Foosters who make visiting the GUB a pleasure instead of a chore.

I will have to do some considering for this afternoon. The weather has warmed significantly. I am leaning towards lagers this evening. Maybe a gin and tonic in the mix.

I just concluded a really long and stressful work week. I shall disregard my aversion to IPAs and enjoy a New England IPA. Tomorrow night is trivia night for family members in three time zones.

Man... tough call for me tonight. But leaning towards our Bock, aka Bock up... 6ft. Great sipping beer and sits at 6.2% ABV.. might have a couple of those then on to my recent go to our American Wheat (aka Don't Call me a Hefe)
