Default GU Job posting: Director of Basketball Operations, MBB

Does this mean Jerry Krause is retiring soon? Should we be concerned with this?

Director of Basketball Operations, WBB is also posted.

Such an oversight. This job should have just been posted here, we could have filled it ten times. Better yet, the Dir. of Ops could be run through this site with Francis as the moderator and final decision maker.

Interesting. Obviously they have someone in mind. Key thing to pay attention to... 5 day period in which opening is available with no intention of keeping it open if it is not filled in those 5 days.

    I got this.

    Even though no one asked.

I will tell y'all that there will be a lot more Polls on the GU board from here on out. For example, say two summers from now.

December 6th 2016 home game scheduling: Please check one of available teams:

    -Montana
    -Idaho State
    -UC Davis
    -UTEP
    -Northern Iowa

It will be great, we'll find out the value of the board. . . and I'll keep the money.

None of the above, I have contacts in ________________

    Nike / Oregon Ducks.

The Ducks and GU are potential opponents at "Uncle Phil's" birthday party in a couple years. Why not play them before so we both know where we are?

    Jakus hired
John Jakus has been hired as director of basketball operations. Jakus was previously a graduate assistant at Baylor and he has experience with Athletes in Action tours.

Jakus will work closely with Jerry Krause, who is stepping down as director of basketball operations following the 2014-15 season. Krause has been director of operations since 2001.

    Thank you for the link.

Athletes in Action? Isn't that kind of like "Up With People" but without the music? My two mortal enemies when I was at GU were "Up with People" and the campus ministry folks.

Are any of the recent Kentucky directors of basketball operations from Athletes in Action?

I will wait for those who are more intelligent than me to interpret all this.

That may have been the group that Drew has played with internationally in the summers.

    LOL @ Up with People

Dr. Krause has had a very long and VERY distinguished career and life all around. His retirement (from this position) is well earned.
