Way to go David! Portsmouth Invitational Tournament champions! Nice NBA three pointer, too!

    Enjoyed watching David play again.

What a great evening! I have two computers on my desk (long story short--I can't do things on my new computer that I need to do) so I watched David's game on the left and Matty B's on the right. Matty's game is still running.

Really great to watch two of my favorite Zags online.

This story includes David in the All-Tournament team....:

Sixty-four seniors came to the PIT hoping to impress NBA and international scouts gathered courtside. The all-tournament team included Starks, Gardner, Roberts, Duke's Andre Dawkins, Morgan State's Ian Chiles, Stanford's Josh Huestis, Niels Giffey of national champion Connecticut and Toledo's Rian Pearson.

Also gaining all-tournament honors were Notre Dame's Garrick Sherman, Buffalo's Javon McCrea, Northwestern's Drew Crawford, Fresno State's Tyler Johnson, Oakland's Travis Bader, Marquette's Jamil Wilson and Gonzaga's David Stockton, the son of NBA all-time assists leader John Stockton.
However, he's not on the Official site's listing of the all-tournament team, so who knows?

    Thanks for the link, ZN.

On your link, I found the link I've attached above. It's the list of last year's 64 players, and where they'd played this past season. 63 of the 64 guys are playing professional basketball, either in the NBA, the D league or overseas. Something tells me that walk on guard (no scholarship offers) David Stockton's basketball career is far from over.

I agree. I think he will have plenty of opportunities to play basketball professionally. I personally also think he would make a great basketball coach. He has a winning attitude, is a good leader, and understands the game well. Whatever he decides to do, I wish him well, and I will miss watching him play college basketball!

Thanks everyone ! For providing the links and the chat.

DS has done himself proud in this tourney. My thoughts as I watched was how he made his teammates so much better. basically a bunch of shooters with a guy who could and did get the ball to the open guy, or the go to guy, or the designated guy, just about every time.

Re pro: I think he will get every consideration. The NBA is rife with shooters. But I don't too often see guys on teams who are out there to improve everyone else's game. They exist, to be sure, or there wouldn't be team winners at the end of each year. But there are many more teams in need of a q.b. like DS to distribute and basically be the traffic cop among superstars. AND he needs to get his numbers on O, too. But I posit it would be harder to develop his kind of high bkb IQ, passing skills, and gutty leadership, than it would be for him to work and improve on his shooting.
