I am really pleased with Rob's continued growth this season. To be honest I never thought he would stick in the NBA, now I think he has 10 year journeyman backup center potential. He plays such solid defense, scores a few points, hits his FTs - I think he has what it takes to stay.

K.O. is really coming on this last month too with more minutes due to injuries. Good first year for K.O.

Ended with 28 and 9. Last game (I think) was another 20+ point double/double. If HE keeps it up, he too might make a servicable back-up center. (tongue in cheek)

I agree. May have a chance in Europe, but in no way can compete with NBA pros. Go get them KO.

Nice article on Kelly on bostonglobe.com. Pressey's comments remind me of what David Stockton said about Kelly: "He just knows where to be."

Oh, and I LOVE the picture; Kelly kept the long hair and he looks like a superhero! He even looks like he is moving even though it is a still photo!

Kelly really needs a cool headband like the one Captain Kirk wore when he got amnesia on that planet and became the medicine man, "Kir-ok"

Highlights from last night. Kelly continues to dvelop and score in even more ways than he did here at Gonzaga. His evolution as a player has been remarkable. It will be interesting to see what happens with him next year if the Celtics are able to get a rim protector and let Kelly play more exclusivley as a 4.

Kelly looks beefier, without losing a step.

    GuardU?

    Turiaf
    Daye
    Sacre
    Olynyk

Karno and Wiltjer have better than average chances at getting in and sticking.
Sabonis is a very likely an NBA player.

GU is looking at putting a very steady stream of bigs into the Association. That is not a bad reputation to have!

(realize big is used loosely with Daye, he is more of a long than a big, but you get my gist. He isn't a guard)

Boston plays Washington on Wednesday. His defense wasn't as good as usual last night, but I think he may stick around the NBA for a bit longer than you imagine. He has offensive skills that Rob doesn't have. Brad Stevens seems to be experimenting with Kelly's defensive position, letting him float outside and be ready for the fast break more than most bigs. Offensively too, Kelly is hanging around the perimeter more than most bigs. I would like to see him developed into more of an inside guy.

Thanks for the link, enjoyed the article. Kelly has really started to come into his own in since the break. The game is slowing down for him. Agree with Marcus, he needs to be paired up with a true rim protector/rebounder to really allow his game to flourish. the Celts have 4 x PF and no real 5.

There may come a time soon when they have to choose between Sully and KO....that will be a tough choice. KO has a more allround game and a hustling attitude that you do not see as often in a big man.

    Go KO!
