Bell has made no attempt to go to the basket. With his ability I can't understand that.

We are doing everything under the impression they will steal it - so we do nothing.

Ouch. Not a good tradition for Seniors to end their careers badly. Hopefully won't happen to Pangos and Bell next year.

I often wonder why other teams manage to get shooters open, but GU rarely does.

Oh, I agree! I really do think it is cool that they are describing behavioral chains. Most people fail to realize how critical they are (especially in cases of relying on "muscle memory").

Arizona is a reason we are turning it over. They are disrupting us and are so much physical.

he cannot shake free tonight, off the bounce, off the screen, off the weakside, in transition. he has been smothered

Johnson is as good as any guard I've seen, and he's had a relatively off night and he's dominating

The main issue we need to take away from this is that we need to recruit and develop quicker players. It's not "size", it's quickness. It feels like we're playing against six guys out there.

The other issue is that we get lulled into a certain tempo during the WCC season, and when we run into a team like this we don't have enough gears.
Only thing I agree with is the lull issue as we get away with a lot of lazy angles passes and poor defensive rotations and get away with it during wcc

I'm tired of blaming the WCC. There's no data to support that as a factor, and playing on mid major leagues hasn't stopped George Mason, Butler, VCU, Wichita State, etc.
I'm saying that we need to recruit quicker guys. The WCC thing is secondary.

Gordon's dunk was impressive but no one even attempted to block him out.

Exactly. Instead we go back to dribble guard weave

Kinda like Bell, only better. Tremendous defender that can also do a lot of damage on the offensive end. They said he has 4 blocks tonight, 2 of them were on Dower. He's 6-3.

Ideally both, yes. But at this point I'd take quickness. We're a step slow (more like two).
