    Default 4 seed in Vegas?

Assuming we are the 1seed in Vegas, who would we prefer to play in the semi-finals. Seeds2,3,4 presently appear to be a toss up between SMC,BYU, and USF. Any opinions?

In my mind it's pretty clearly USF.

Winning the quarterfinal would be a good start. . .no automatic berth to the semi-final

In the meantime: Beat BYU !!

Agreed. Right now the 8/9 game would be USD/SCU and both those teams have given Gonzaga fits this year.

It would be nice to play both byu and smc... we lack in the good wins number wise, so it would help to get w's over the best 2 number teams in the league

There is still a chance that USD wins two more games...they also have us and Portland coming in and we have fits with them in San Diego...

If USF beats Saint Mary's this week the Gaels could be the 4th seed.

With 1 more conference win by BYU (a another loss by SMC), Saint Mary's WILL finish outside the top 2 of the WCC standings for the first time since 2006-07

And San Francisco may have a favorable enough remaining schedule to bump Saint Mary's out of the top 3 of the WCC for the first time since the 2002-03 season

Looking like we won't see USD in the quarterfinals either. Could be an interesting finish for all seeds other than #1
