Article reported the wrong school in Arizona. Sabonis took a visit to Arizona State University, not the University of Arizona:

BZ - Please get on here and tell me he is just taking advantage of a few trip in the sun - getting away from early spring?

I'd do it btw. It would look suspicious if I visited one northern school and visited four others like Miama, Arizona State, San Diego and Univ of Hawaii.

Wow that link is sickening. It makes me realize why I love GU so much. Pretty much the selling points for ASU were girls, parties, and sun. They didn't mention the fact that the basketball program isn't that great.

To a kid that lives in the south of Spain ASU might sound very good but to mother of a college athlete it could be the kiss of death. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Just realized that he is 16...we are doomed. Kidding, for the most part.

There is another thread on Sabonis, claiming that a tweet makes Sabonis a done deal for GU.
Personally, I will hold my hope at bay until I see that some type of formal signing or announcement occurs.

It only took 50 THOUSAND posts, but by gum, I think this one is over. maybe. We'll see. I think this may be the most # of anticipatory posts on a prospect since Bol Kong. Hope that doesn't doom his chances. Just wanted a chance o type Bol Kong a few more times.

Wasn't he born in the U.S while his father played in the NBA? If so, there is no visa issues, Sabonis would hold U.S. citizenship unless he renounced it - which I doubt.

I think the Wiltjer Thread went on for 17 pages but I couldn't find it to verify.

Bol Kong had visa issues. That is what Dado was referring to.

Two seasons ago we had an up year
Last season we all knew we had a down year, and it turned out better than I thought (still wish we had lost to Arizona by a closer score)
If Sabonis is in a Zag uniform this Fall it will add to what I expect will be an up year
But the year after that !!! - well, my hopes are soaring for that year

At the top you will see views and replies. If you click one of them it will show you in order the most views/replies threads.

I think the Wiltjer thread was deleted. I hope this helps.

I thought Dado was inferring Sabonis might have similar issue as Kong. If he wasn't, my apologizes.

Mr. Sabonis was born in Portland, Oregon and is therefore a US citizen unless he has somehow legally forsaken his citizenship (can you even do that?). Therefore he should have no "visa" issues.
