There is another thread on Sabonis, claiming that a tweet makes Sabonis a done deal for GU.
Personally, I will hold my hope at bay until I see that some type of formal signing or announcement occurs.
It only took 50 THOUSAND posts, but by gum, I think this one is over. maybe. We'll see. I think this may be the most # of anticipatory posts on a prospect since Bol Kong. Hope that doesn't doom his chances. Just wanted a chance o type Bol Kong a few more times.
Go TEAM Zags !
"John Stockton is one of the true marvels, not just of basketball, or in America, but in the history of Western Civilization!”
Tom Hammond: “Wow, that’s a pretty strong statement. I guess I don’t have a good handle on world history.”
Bill: “Well Tom, that’s because you didn’t go to UCLA." - Bill Walton

Go ZAGS!
Go ZAGS!
Only watching the ball, misses at least 80% of the game.
Wasn't he born in the U.S while his father played in the NBA? If so, there is no visa issues, Sabonis would hold U.S. citizenship unless he renounced it - which I doubt.

I think the Wiltjer Thread went on for 17 pages but I couldn't find it to verify.

Bol Kong had visa issues. That is what Dado was referring to.
Two seasons ago we had an up year
Last season we all knew we had a down year, and it turned out better than I thought (still wish we had lost to Arizona by a closer score)
If Sabonis is in a Zag uniform this Fall it will add to what I expect will be an up year
But the year after that !!! - well, my hopes are soaring for that year
Mr. Sabonis was born in Portland, Oregon and is therefore a US citizen unless he has somehow legally forsaken his citizenship (can you even do that?). Therefore he should have no "visa" issues.
