    Default Where does this rank?

Over the years where does this win rank on the "true road game win" category?

NC in Madison Garden was nice but not a "true road" game....I am thinking Tennessee a couple years ago (I believe they were ranked, of course I have been drinking and think I am ranked right now so I got that going for me...which is nice)

anyways, GREAT WIN!!! and it ranks up there

A few years ago, the road trip @ St. Joes, then @ Uconn a day later was a nice pair of wins.

The win against #3 Oklahoma State (final four team the previous year) in Oklahoma City still ranks up there. Although the game wasn't played in Stillwater, the OKC crowd that night was actually louder and more intimidating than tonight's crowd. Turiaf played on one leg in that game, Batista had his coming out party, and GU had to make a defensive stop at the end to win the game after the greatest foul shooter in NCAA history, Derek Raivio, missed two foul shots in crunch time.

18,202 in the stands that night.

I always thought that the 10 point win over #3 Georgia Tech in Las Vegas ('04) was noteworthy as well.

as far as a true road win on an opponents on campus home floor, this was the most impressive i can remember. I know its so fresh so I may be a little biased on this but man that was an impressive win.

At the time this game set two records -- largest margin of victory by an opponent over UCLA at Pauley -- ever -- and lowest point total by UCLA at Pauley -- ever.

The UCLA game at Pauley, hands down, for many reasons. The Zags were on the national radar at the time, but most of the BB nation was not yet a believer. They came into Pauley as a big underdog in the national media and totally destroyed UCLA. As to the OSU game in Oklahoma City, I have never heard a more loud croud on a BB tv broadcast - ever!

Have the Zags won on a home court in front of a bigger crowd? Official attendance was 13,611. I'd say the noise factor was about 95% of what it would have been if the students were in full force and all Cowboy fans know how to stand, even the geezers. It was a great atmosphere.

It wasn't a home court... but 4 years ago in Chicago against Illinois the Zags won in front of a FULL NBA arena.
