GU VS St. John's from the second round of the 2000 NCAA Tournament - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny1aT...ature=youtu.be

The dunks in this one are awesome! One of the more entertaining tournament games GU's played in. I hadn't seen this since it first aired.

One of my top 2 (or 3) Zag games of all time. Mark Spink was a beast. Gus Johnson had some GREAT calls. Thanks TZ

brings back great memories of the Dench Trench. He came up huge in this game and not sure if we pull out the win without his 1st half performance.

You're certainly welcome -- and thank you TZ. As I'd mentioned -- I'd made copies of these for the Crosby Alumni house so folks could watch (tapes) and they were all lost shortly after I delivered them (about 8 or 9 years ago). Glad you've been able to share with the people that enjoy these the most. "Road to the Final Four" is classic -- and remains my favorite footage.

As the video begins I notice #1 seed Arizona getting beat and not advancing to the Sweet 16.

I wonder if it inspired the same hand wringing and gnashing of teeth as our loss this year.

    I suppose so.

Rich Waltz. Miss him. He's now the play by play announcer for the Miami Marlins.
You have to love the Gonzaga fan. Not satisfied to be affronted merely by common hosings at the hands of ragtag referees, he plows all avenues of discontent. - John Blanchette

Nice city and I am sure the pay is good, but that job has to be sort of like being a funeral director. I am not sure what that makes Redmon in that analogy, I'll just leave it there.

    Default More Game Tapes

    Hi Everyone,

Tucson and I have been working together to round up some more footage. If anyone has any games that they would like to share/trade, please PM me.

We have quite a few, but are missing some good ones.

One unique game that I can't track down is from the 1999-2000 season.

We played in Cleveland on a neutral floor versus #1 Cincinnati, with Huggins at the helm and eventual Player of the Year and #1 overall draft pick Kenyon Martin.

Casey Calvary had what I remember being his best dunk ever, on Kenyon Martin. Martin literally punched him in the face on the way to being posterized. Casey's cheek was broken open, and he had to go out of the game. We ended up losing, but it was a heck of a game.

If anyone has access to this game or any others, let me know.

Boy Zagco sure wishes we put out DVD's of annual highlights. This is done a lot in football. For example, his other alma mater Boise State has been putting out annual football DVD's for years, and they are a blast to watch. He has always wished Gonzaga would do this for the hoopsters.

    Default Stanford

Would love to see Stanford again--haven't seen it since it aired. I was cleaning out my apartment to move and the only piece thing left was my old TV with the game on. I remember standing in the empty living room and thinking-they are really going to beat these guys.

    Thanks for Stanford.

I think Monson's collar on his jacket was up for about 1/2 of the game.
