Default GUnit of the Game - Xavier - 12.31.2011

    Happy New Year !

Zags win another nail-biter. . .Big Sam Dower was the offensive star and Gary Bell, Jr, was THE MAN on defense.

Who gets your nod as the player of the game, Zag fans ?

Dower keeps this up and he will be making a lot of money in the NBA. He is a nightmare when he is playing at this level.

Sam for his offense, Bell for his defense. A good team effort.

Conventional wisdom says Sam the Man, but I am going with Gary Bell Jr. for the outstanding job he did defensively on gangsta-boy.

I'm going with Sam, but with some reluctance. The defensive job that GBJ did on Holloway - when he was guarding him - was phenomenal.

Without Bell's d on Tu we lose. Without Sam's 20/10 we lose. Co-G-Unit tonight.

    +1

they both won this game for us, in different ways. sam by stopping their run with a run of his own...goin total beast mode on frease. and gbj making tu holloway COMPLETELY irrelevant. i'd like to actively campaign against holloway be considered for AA honors. after his actions vs cincy, his choice of words at the presser, and his poor performance against our freshmen backcourt...he doesn't deserve it.

anyway, happy new year!!! GO ZAGS!

Sam Dower had a GREAT game offensively and defensively!

Bell's defense on Tu was also instrumental in our BIGGEST victory this season...

Voted for the Silkman but it was a tough call. Bell's defense was superb and Few deserves some praise for how he managed the bench.
