Wavied for "personal reasons." That's an odd description.

    Default Stampede Reacquire Will Foster

Strange doings in Idaho, per this story:
    Stampede Re-Acquire Foster, White
January 26, 2012 - NBA Development League (D-League) Idaho Stampede

    Idaho StampedeBOISE, Idaho, January 26, 2012 -

The Idaho Stampede have re-acquired Will Foster (7-5, 254, Gonzaga) and Terrico White (6-5, 213, Mississippi), the club announced today. Both players will be available for tonight's game at Springfield.

Foster is averaging 5.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and a league-leading 3.1 blocks per game in 17 contests (four starts). White is averaging 12.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in eight games this year.

The Stampede roster now stands at 10 with the team waiving Devin Green due to personal reasons.
Sure enough, he shows up in the box score from yesterday's game, with 8+ minutes, five rebounds, and two points.

Stampede plays again today at 5:00 Pacific. Live video stream should be here.

    Default Will Foster

Acquired by the Rio Grande Vipers on Friday. Didn't play last night against his old team. They are a Rockets franchise so maybe they feel the need for another big, big man

    Default Rio Grande waives Foster

Kind of a tumultuous season for Will, as he's waived again:
    Vipers Re-Activate Saunders, Waive Foster
March 8, 2012 - NBA Development League (D-League) Rio Grande Valley Vipers

Rio Grande Valley VipersMcAllen, TEXAS -- The NBA Development League Rio Grande Valley Vipers today announced they have re-acquired forward Damian Sanders. To make room for Sanders on the roster, the team has waived center Will Foster.

Default Will Foster signs with the D-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce

Third D-League home this season, signing with Sioux Falls.
Sioux Falls Skyforce: Signed 7-5 center Will Foster (7'5''-C-88, college: Gonzaga). The former Gonzaga Zags reserve big man has spent time this season with Rio Grande Valley as well as Idaho, where in 21 combined games has averaged 5.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.7 blocks while shooting 53.8% from the field.
Looks like they have a game at 3:00 or 4:00 today. We'll see if Will suits up.

Stats should be here. Watch the game online here.

Looked like he was not there yet. The stat line said NWT, I guess Not With Team. I wish him luck. It is becoming apparent that he has a desire to play. His season line, based on few minutes per game and few games seems like it should go up, under the right circumstances and with the right team mates.
I'm rooting for you Will! Show everyone what you can do!

    Default I wonder if

hypnosis would help. By all accounts, good, athletic, legs, mediocre everything else. Yet, very tall . . .

btw, Will is playing very well in this game.

Posted up, spun baseline, and dunked on the opposite side while drawing the foul. Made the FT to boot.

A short time later, he blocked a dunk attempt by the uber-athletic Chris Wright, then finished the ensuing fast break with an alley-oop slam.

    Keep it goin', Will.

Micah just challenged Will at the rim, and Will erased him. 5th block of the game.

Thanks, Stretch! I started watching the game to follow Micah, unaware of Will, but got sidetracked. Nice to see Micah playing so well for the Red Claws.

Will Foster looks much more coordinated than he was as a college player. I wish he'd had that body when he played for Gonzaga.

    Default Practice?

His free throw shooting is still abysmal after all of these years.

Will's adventures in Japan remind me of a Dan Fitzgerald story about deflating the ego of an intramural star "playing against three Asian guys wearing brown socks" in Kennedy Pavilion at lunch time.
