Default Elias Harris #33 best player 2011-2012

I am sorry if this has been already posted I did not see it. Another zag mention which is nice as always! The preseason top 50 players.

    This is from Rivals.

No. 33: Gonzaga F Elias Harris
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE PARTICULARS: 6-7/240, Jr.; Friedrich-Magnus-Schwerd Gym in Speyer, Germany

THE BUZZ: He had an excellent freshman season, then struggled at times as a sophomore last season, partly because of a sore shoulder. He still averaged 12.4 points and 6.0 rebounds, but those were drops of 2.5 points and 1.1 rebounds off his freshman averages. Harris seemed to defer at times last season to C Robert Sacre. Harris has the talent to be one of the top two or three big men on the West Coast.

Lol at Kevin Foster ranked #39. That's like 3000 spots too high and pretty much invalidates the entire list.

Re Foster: I guess it depends on what game you watch. If he could play us every game he would be All-World. He reminds me a bit of Harden for the NBA Oklahoma City team that shall remain nameless.

Foster led the WCC in scoring, was top 5 in assists & steals. Led the nation in made 3's. Probably odd's on to be WCC POY. What exactly are your criteria, 43?

    +1

6'2", 220 lb PG whom averaged over 19 ppg, 3.7 apg, 3 rpg.

Not to mention he scored 36 & 27 pts against the Zags last season and looked good doing it...

If anything, dare I say he may actually be 'underrated'?

I wonder where Robert Sacre will land on the list.

I'm guessing Dickau43 is referring to Foster being a pure volume scorer. He takes 10 3s per game, and to shoot this many and only average 19 per game isn't that impressive. He only shoots 38% from the field and 37% from 3. Foster made lots of 3s but he wasn't even close to the top 100 in 3pt shooting percentage. He is too streaky to be considered one of the best players in the country imo. Wouldn't say he is way overrated in this list, but definitely not underrated. I think we saw his absolute best against us, and forgot about his 0-10 and 1-11 3pt shooting against other teams.
