I know one of Bono's attorneys is no longer an attorney, if that helps your inquiry. He's the one that got in trouble with the Panamanian papers thing, I think … not going to look it up. While I am sure that U2's attorneys don't work "anti-bono," I'm sure they're paid pro-Bueno.
As for cocktail hostesses and the Las Vegas experience.
I shall never forget, senior year, group of my friends and I decided to drive "South until we wear shorts and flip flops" - We stopped over night in Vegas (not far enough south).
Amazingly, we were all winning at a black jack table at the Luxor, I think all but one of us were up a few hundred bucks (a lot in those days), and we just shared winnings with him. Regardless, we were having a great TIME - we had no idea what TIME it was until the cocktain waitress went from "Beer, wine, cocktails" to "Beer, wine, cocktails, orange juice, coffee" …. it was 5:15 a.m.
We had been there since 10:00 p.m.
We walked to the cheaper hotel and slept until 12:00, and then drove to Phoenix, getting in late at night. It still wasn't warm enough in Phoenix (60), we went to Tuscon, and then over to Yuma. We stayed in Yuma and golfed.
We were going to go to Rocky Point Mexcio - where we heard the entire Univ of Arizona was - but upon driving 2 blocks across the Mexican border, I chickened out, everyone was looking at us gringos. We turned the car around, got to the U.S. - Guy said ""How long have you been in Mexico?" - I pointed to the block we turned around at. He said "Everyone out of the car."
It didn't go well.
A cooler fell out when they opened the hatchback, beers went everywhere (the driver was always sober).
He told us not to come back.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.
