The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Tuesday announced its nominees for induction into the 2019 class, and it's a mix of new and old candidates.

It's the first time Def Leppard, Devo, John Prine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks and Todd Rundgren have made the list.
Rapper LL Cool J and the group Kraftwerk have made the list four times before.
Other nominees this year are Janet Jackson, MC5, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, The Cure and The Zombies.

To be eligible, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.

I agree...and can rap really be called music, much less Rock and Roll?

I need a few of these ... Tell me they wouldn't make a killing selling these.

Grr ... Can't make link work. UMBC has t-shirts with Seth Davis' tweet, "Virginia. Sharpie."

Going to see The Eagles tonight in MSG. Well... Eagles light since Glenn died. But should be fun either way,

My ballot for the next class would be Jane’s Addiction, Rage Against the Machine, and Radiohead.

I might throw in a vote for Phish to avoid incurring the wrath of another fooster from that era.

For the record on the Eagles:

    a) Vince Gill is a good substitute for Glenn Frye.
    b) Deacon Frye is also a good substitute and sounds a LOT like his dad
    c) At 70 Joe Walsh can SHRED
    d) Really one of the better shows musically that I have seen.

BTW... here is the set list:

    https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/eagle...y-be94d42.html

Interesting that they did 3 Joe Walsh numbers plus 2 James Gang (also JW) but only did Boys of Summer out of Henley's catalog. Wonder if Joe wanted more "run" to join on the tour.

    Yes there is.
I was going to take my son to an opera matinee but it was cancelled due to its proximity to a horrific hate crime. Now I'm praying that the teacher who exposed him to opera (and the teacher's family) are safe as well as several of my husband's co-workers. Unbelievably sad and terrifying that people are this evil.

I am so sorry, and sorry for the people of Pittsburgh. We will all get through this together, but am truly sorry for all concerned, and understand how hard it must be to explain to young ones.

No bottles or cans are permitted in Dodger Stadium. Exceptions are made for fans with medical needs, baby bottles and factory sealed water bottles of one-liter in size or less.

Hard-sided coolers are not permitted into Dodger Stadium. Guests may bring in soft-sided coolers that do not exceed 14 inches square and must be stored under the seat. All containers and coolers are subject to inspection by stadium personnel prior to entering the gates.

Spokane Peeps: Looking for a room to rent or perhaps a "mother-in-law" set-up (for my college-going daughter). If you can refer me, I can take it from there. . .thanks in advance.
