With some exceptions, I usually don't prefer remixes. This one really works for me.

I went WAAAAAYYYYY down the you tube rabbit hole last night. Listened to a bunch of cover songs. I'd heard a bit of Violet Orlandi before. There's several others she collabs with, I just kept wandering down that path. I'll post a few.

The singer from Halocene is a good mimic. Not only the vocal style, but she gets some of the movements and mannerisms too. In various songs I heard her sound a lot like Avril Lavigne, Hayley Williams from Paramore and Lacey Sturm from Flyleaf.

Thank you. I enjoyed those. I have found that I have liked a lot of Queens stuff. These were good covers...but in Bohemian, I thought the blonde smiled to much. LOL

I stumbled onto Emiliana Torrini a while ago. I like quite a few of her songs. From Iceland.

This one takes a while to build up. Around the 1:00 mark it hits you.

I know that no one is supposed to like Coldplay and it's almost proof you're not cool. But Chris Martin has big talent and his solo accoustic of this song at the Sandy Relief is very very good. Amazing he's never had a guitar lesson.

I thought that was Nickleback who no one is allowed to like.

I've got plenty of "guilty pleasure" musicians or bands I enjoy. Like what you like. Who care what anyone else thinks.

I just added the Vevo channel to our Roku. It has music videos and clips from some classic concerts.

Yeah, I think they both work.

There are certain things that cool kidz are just supposed to be above it all.

Every adult is supposed to hate flying.

I love every aspect about it. I love airports, I love looking at the cities I could go. I love the people watching. I love the taxi, take off, I'm the dork looking out the window trying to pick out each town.

I try to justify it by saying that hundreds of generations dreamed of doing such a thing, and now we do. But, it's still not cool.

It is true that I only fly 2-3 times a year, so it's not a weekly slog. Still, one's supposed to complain, I don't.

Some older Delain. I'm borrowing their first album from Hoopla, some good stuff on there.

    U2 - "The Fly" Glastonbury

If there is one international music festival I had to pick to ever hit, there is only one choice, this is fantastic

And if it wasn't cold and rainy in the middle of the summer I'd demand my money back!!

I was poking around, listening to some of the 90s bands from Washington that didn't make it big like the 4 grunge bands that everybody knows. These guys originated in Ellensburg. Kinda sounds like halfway between Alice in Chains and Soundgarden.

I see Carrie Akre's name pop up from time to time. She was in a couple local bands--Hammerbox, then Goodness--and did some solo stuff.

Some of the lesser known stuff sounds as good as the well known stuff to me. I think I have a natural tendency to have a backlash to massively popular things. I was never a big fan of Nirvana or Peal Jam, for the amount of hype they got I thought they were overrated. I definitely preferred AIC and Soundgarden out of those 4.
