I was looking at that list to see what Andy would be competing against (weight wise). One beast stood out to me: DeMarcus Cousins 6'10" 252, Class of '09. Let's get after this kid!!
He'd make a nice bookend with Jordan!

Wow!! What an honor. Great invitation. Talk about hangin with the winners. I'd guess that Andy is feeling pretty well lately. He must be over that illness he had during the year....Maybe even jumpin for joy. A lot of the names I notice are in the '08 class. Andy's in the '09, so that makes it even far more meaningful. How many of invites are from the '09 class?

Andy is actually a member of the 2008 class. See #59:

I am very happy for Andy. After all he has been through the last year or so, this has to make him feel good. He's still got a long way to go though - he dropped 30+ pounds from the illness.

Indeed, that is an honor. This is a pretty big deal. Andy joins Mallon, Pendo, Heytvelt... I'm thinking Stepp, too, but my memory fails me.

    Congrats to AP!

Sorry about the mistake. My bad. When I think of '08 we talk so little about Poling that it's somewhat easy to forget about him, and how his potential. We mostly talk about the guards for '08...and naturally that's because Andy has already signed.

Poling isn't signed to Gonzaga yet. He is just verbally committed. But he and most of his 2008 comrades will be signing their Letter of Intents in November.
