Carter ought to see 20 mins or more tonight. He either gets it or he doesn't and tonight would be the perfect opportunity for a confidence building game.
He had a decent outing vs ND, but there is still lots of room for improvement and that could happen today.....or not.

I like to see KO finishing with contact. I think that has been one of his bigger weaknesses, and it looks like he is playing through it tonight.

if he could get back on defense and react a little quicker (guys are driving by him too often), he'd get more minutes. but whale of a shooter, it looks like.

Carter isn't much of a "catch & shoot" 'er

Default I think a game like this is good for us

all. The players get to relax a little and we (more importantly) get to see if we have some athletes out there.

It looks like we do. Marquise without the tension, has moves. KO, without worrying himself into uselessness, is a natural. RS, if he just realizews he's 7-0 can score. and on and on.

So is it confidence or lack of ability, IQ etc etc., that needs work ? Y'all decide. This is a good game to watch and see what I assume the coaches and recruiters saw when they brought them to the Zags.

What they do with it under increasing pressure is up to them. The possibility and the ability is there, imo.

The pressure and the reverting back to old, sometimes bad, habits, like not setting up, not getting in position and so forth and so on has got to go away and the instincts have got to take over.

But what's important to me in a game like this is seeing these kids know how to play the game but still need to work hard on improvement, cutting the little bad mistakes out, and growing their confidence, more than anything.

If we can forget the preseason schedule and work on our games and our confidence, I think the season could be about as satisfying as any we've seen. That's my hope, anyway. I strongly believe the ingredients are there IF the Zags decide to go for it.

I love Ehlo saying that fans voting over 50% that 3 point defense was the reason for our slow start was because of the newspaper article. More like ten years of frustration with our three point defense not a newspaper article telling us what is totally obvious to everyone.

so my tv package just added fsnw in hd and the game is actually on there and might even be in hd tonight which is a good thing except during the halftime Heister/Ehlo on camera chatting. The lighting was not doing them any favors!

17 first-half baskets off 15 assists. Pretty good ball movement.
