    Default Ran out of gas

A work study just told me that her friend ran out of gas on her way back from Seattle about 20 miles outside of Spokane. She told my work study that she normally has half a tank left when she gets here, but she probably used up a lot of gas by using her windshield wipers and heater.

I need to remind myself of this story when my daughter turns 16 so that I can make sure that she understands her vehicle and how it operates.

Nope. Ain't buyin' that one. I say the friend forgot to fill the tank.

Windshield wipers and the heater might reduce a 30 mpg down to 29.9 mpg. But not down to 15 mpg.

Obvsiouly she should have splurged that extra $80 for the Windshield Wiper High Efficiency High Mileage Cleaning Solution at Jiffy Lube the last time she was there.

There's a "dumb blonde" joke hiding in this story. . .

I was worried about that. I'm glad it's that and not all of my drinking.
