    So...
for the last 20 years or so...
or ever since I started creating a bracket for fun (or $)...
the Zags have not won a championship.

How crazy would it be if I did not do a bracket....???

Should I or Shouldn't I? I have only a few hours to decide.
...and there definitely is no such thing as Prince Charming.

    Do it. No causality.

    but what if...
    what if...

    (sigh...could it be possible?)

What if I am the jinx?

I have found myself incapable of putting the zags anywhere other than #1. And yet, that position has eluded, teased, titillated us with complete rejection for 20 years.

The Zags have made the tourney every year you’ve done it maybe? If you don’t do it this year, they might not make it next year.

Nope. I didn't make one the first time they went back when I was a student...

So this guy at work runs a bracket similar to the one here on GUboards. Everyone draws a name out of a hat and that is your team.

I got UNC. Of all the teams to get, I got one I want to lose. Gonna see if I can convince one of the 9th graders to trade me for their pick. I'm sure I can convince the girl to give up a 4 seed for a 2 seed.

Same deal for us, I go by the stadium on my way to work. We put in for the lottery but didn't win.

When I went to Phoenix I bought my airline tickets a couple of months ahead. Fortunately I knew my parents would need there already so I figured I would just visit them if the Zags didn't make it. Saved myself a couple hundred bucks airline fare.

Wow. Has been a bit since I last posted. Here’s my latest news:

My son is a Badger now.
I’m teaching Middle school (lord help me).
I now have an Ice Castle. For those who don’t know what that is, picture Grumpy Old Men with an RV on their lake. Fishing is All-year long in MN.
It’s still colder than a witch’s tittie. Winter came too soon.

Still trying to teach middle school.
It’s like herding cats in heat.
I now completely understand why my high school students didn’t remember anything from middle school.
Hoping my investments grow quickly so I can retire early.

When a parent send you shots at a bar, you drink up! (also maybe I shouldn’t be drinking where my students’ parents drink)

Headed to Spokane next week. It’s been a long time since I was last there. So looking forward to being back in the PNW. To being back home.

My kids' teachers are friends, so we don't go to the bar to drink with them, we just have them over to the house and then drink.

I’ve tried to avoid friendships with students I have in class. My robotics team parents are on another level though. LOL!

Spent the weekend in Spokane. Nice to know that some things never change (the airport), and briefly saw parts around campus. Campus itself looks awesome with the updates and improvements. But good lord the neighborhood and surrounding businesses look like absolute ####. I don’t think I would ever want to go into that Safeway - doesn’t look safe at all.

So I mistakenly looked at a Facebook thread about the Duke loss. In that thread someone said something about how their loss makes GU look better. I don’t think that person took Philosophy 101.
Correct me if I am wrong, but if a higher ranked team loses to a lower ranked team who then loses to an unranked team, by deduction, that higher ranked team has also lost to an unranked team.

I was in Spokane over the weekend too. It's funny because people in western washington act like Seattle is the only place with people experiencing homelessness. It's all over and Spokane is not immune to it. When we got off the freeway at Maple they put up a big Spokane sign and my wife I commented it looked like they put it up so you couldn't see the tents under the overpass. On Saturday I met my dad for a beer at Lumberbeard brewing across the street from Dicks. When I left I noticed cops posted up on every corner on the back street I took to get back on Division. When I got on Division I noticed the light for my trunk said it was still open. I pulled off on another side street and got out to close the trunk. As I got out I noticed a lady walking toward me in the middle of the street like a zombie. As she got closer I noticed she had blood all over her face and it looked like it was from her picking at scabs or something. As I was debating whether I should ask if she needs help, those cops I saw earlier had found this street and they all converged on the area where I was now parked. There were a lot of other people experiencing homelessness wandering around like zombies there too. I figured the cops would see the lady so I got back in my car and got the hell out of there.

I can confirm that particular Safeway isn't safe. 10ish years ago I saw a guy try to stab another guy near the produce section.

You can't make a half sandwich. If it's not half of a whole sandwich, it's just a small sandwich.
