    Default RIP Gordon Windle, MD

My mother called today to tell me that Dr. Windle had passed away. Gordon was my doc when I was a kid and his office was in the building behind the Freeze (Arny's), next to what now is the Pita Pit. Later his office was near GP on the Hamilton-Nevada transition.

Gordon was a GU grad who went on to med school at St. Louis U. He was chief of staff at Sacred Heart in the early 60's.

His obit in the S-R mentioned that he delivered over 1000 babies. I was one of them and so were two of my sibs.

Dr. Windle was a great guy. May he rest in peace.

You have to love the Gonzaga fan. Not satisfied to be affronted merely by common hosings at the hands of ragtag referees, he plows all avenues of discontent. - John Blanchette

    Default That's too bad

I remember Dr. Windle and also Dr. Nishamura, who I believe shared the same office building. Gosh, another one of the old-timers gone...

Ted Dill, dentist, was also in that building, did ZN's first major dental work, and is also gone now too. He'd moved over on NW Blvd years before, and ZN followed him there. Super nice man. Drat.
