    Default CDC Declares!

I wonder if they have a spot for a great stand up shooter so long as there are no defenders around! I play a mean defense. I just put Everclear in the opponent's Gatorade jug. You have never seen so many basketballs bounce off the foots and knees of players!

The "foots" of players? Sounds like you saved a few sips of that Everclear for yourself.

Of course, with the amount of alcohol in Everclear, there are always plenty of leftovers

BTW - I didn't realize there are different proofs of Everclear. I thought everything was 190 proof (95% alcohol). They also have 120 and 151 proof. 190 apparently leads to spelling errors.

Everclear, no matter the proof is almost always better when mixed with with fruit and other beverages in a garbage can.

    Like a good punch.

Definitely not to be confused with a 12 year Macallan that's for sure.

I wonder if the NBA is looking for a guy with PG height, PF weight and game. If so... put me on the declare list.

Hey, I need to get a thorough evaluation from the scouts first before I withdraw. If just hope they don't bring out those calipers that measure body fat......

This describes my game perfectly. PG size, PF "skills".

Your next thorough evaluation is likely to be a colonoscopy, right?

I know this post is all in fun. And I know my comments are not in the ''spirit" of this thread. But...IMO hits too close to home personally in terms of alcohol use, abuse, and danger (everclear). Too many deaths in frats etc for example. Sorry.

I am declaring, too. Since we all knew you were gone, it's your time. I am the surprise. Except I'm not playing ball, nor dumping everclear in anything but ….

I am done writing here and there for free!

It's time for me to get mine, explore my value. My ideas are worth money, writing worth money, etc. I worked on my game here, and got a lot of help, instruction, learned a lot, so I have to thank my teammates, Reno, GZ, LIZF, you guys are brothers forever, "family," and I won't forget you when I'm rich rich rich …

Even if I don't get "drafted," let's say the Times doesn't call, nor SI, the Spokesman doesn't call, you're still going to pay. By god if I don't get what I deserve, everyone is going to "pay"!!

Getting a bit ahead of myself here. I want to thank ...

The situation with frats is very serious, and the worst thing about it is that the large state universities (especially SEC schools which are located in desolate areas) promote it as a way of drawing in large numbers of students who, in all honesty, should be in a trade school or just working at the 7-11 for a few years to figure out what it is they want to do. I heard some staggering statistic....something like 85% of all residential students at Alabama belong to a frat or sorority. Of course not all of these student groups are the same. Although I do not agree with all of his solutions and criticisms, Murray Sperber (ex-Indiana professor and critic of Bob Knight) wrote a book called "Beer & Circus: How Big-Time College Sports Is Crippling Undergraduate Education" which documents this phenomenon. If you go to some huge university with 40,000 students, kids become alienated and will do anything to fit in. Stupid things. Things that lead to death. Very different from what I think one poster here referred to as drinking "the Jesuit way."

The lack of a Greek system is one of the reasons I went to Gonzaga.

In terms of frats, I believe they are as out of control as ever.

But with respect to binge drinking, I think the kids today are doing a little better job of avoiding it, or at least taking far more precautions such that no one is driving, etc.
