Default USF game notes - ready to be merged

with four suspended players that probably won't be reinstated in time for tonight's game ... USF is dressing 8, one of which is nursing an injury. Manny and Hyman would have normally seen minutes against the Zags.

Lowhorn, himself, is quoted as saying the energy was better (Thurs. vs. Port.) with just those 7 players. Coach Rex is sending a message.

The Dons did well on the boards too, vs. the Pilots (17 offensive). IMO Micah and Ira! 's energy boosts will be important tonight to help wear down the undermanned Hilltoppers.

    Go Zags.

I expect an even-keel game with little emotion, just kinda business-like, maybe a bit flat.

    Milestones -

Josh enters the game with 998 career points. Jeremy entered the 1000-pt. club early this year, and Matt joined in Thursday's game.

Few is tied at second with Dick Davey for most WCC victories (122). He still has eh, say four to five years until he nears Carroll Williams' 165.

I am wishing I had ESPNU right now. I did not think I needed it this year.

No espn360, no channel surfing.net, No justin.tv feeds.

Might just be radio and game tracker.

I'm watching the Pilots-Gaels game and the atmosphere and energy is maybe 50% of what it was Thursday night.

I bring this up because I kinda expect the same at USF.

Radio is dead. Don't know why.

ESPNU is Channel 148 on Dish Network. The game could run long.

UP-SMC is on Comcast Sportsnet-California, channel 409 on Dish.

    Evidently not.

Libbey worked the UCLA-Arizona game today.

Default Micah starts ahead of Steven

Fox says he likes it, suggesting Micah can either sit down or take JH or AD's place when Steven comes in.

Fox: "MD's so versatile, I like this move."

Lamar and Texas St. are, of course, in a one-point game with almost two minutes left.

KGA 1510 for me. Staying in with Mrs.blahala for some after game extra curricular activity on Valentine's day.

I like Richard Fox's been there done that take on the game. Let's blow the doors off of the Dons and put them away early.

    Go!! Zags!!!

Four people at the Lady Zags game today asked me what is wrong with Gray. I had no answer.

Oh well, Micah likes to start, he says.

TX State and Lamar could go OT.

Good ol' theater of the mind via radio?

    Default few on pre game

    discussed smc game.

that was the one they needed to win. I thot our guys did a great job. almost gave it away with missed f.t.'s but we got it in their gym."

re MD: " He's been aggressive, rebounding creating havoc, offensively aggressive and he's been playing really well. good energy. hoping he does the same thing tonight."

re: S.F. team. they are depleted. they got rid of the bad attitudes. expect high energy. lowhorn is incredible and people around him are playing hard and loose and they gave portland a whale of a game. I expect alot of threes."

Lloyd: "i expect great effort. S.F. has issues with seniors and didn't think they were into the team thing. got rid of them and it's become a rallying point for them. expect them to jump in and see if they can do someting. we plan to attack them inside out."

re lowhorn: "for sure he's a high level scorer, a difficult matchup. we're probably going to try to go at him and get him in foul trouble."

"their guards have played alot of minutes, but what they've done is become more dependant on lowhorn. we want to limit his touches and if he gets the ball he's going to be guarde by five guys."

The announcer for the Texas St game just called us the Zips. That's a first. I think that's Akron.
