My dad is coming to town from Montana. We'll share a four pack of this when he arrives.

I took my dad, brother, and sister-in-law to this place for a six beer sampler.

    http://www.atlanticbrewing.com/downtown-tasting-room/

All six offerings were excellent, but I most highly recommend their Scottish ale offering, MacFoochies.

I also recommend the MDI Ginger Wheat Ale. I am not usually a fan of mixing wheat beers with other flavors, but this was really refreshing. Yum.

A great new distillery just opened in my neck of the Maine coast. I am sipping their bourbon and enjoying it immensely.

If you happen to be driving along Coastal Route 1, make the detour to check out Split Rock Distilling. It will be worth your time.

Top Cutter IPA - one of my favorite easy to find beers

I'm trying not to drink during the work week. I made it to Thursday, but it is so nice out today that I had to have a beer or 3 on my deck tonight.

We were planning a trip to Maine when we lived in Virginia before I got a job that moved me back to Washington. I still hope to take that trip at some point.

Maine is a beautiful state. There are times when I miss the mountains of Montana and Washington, but I do love this area. It is worth a trip, but be careful. I came up here for grad school on a whim and never really left.
