    It's something!

36 degrees, snow, wind out of the north picking up overnight.

    Historic weather.

Mid 80s today, woke up to a sprinkle of rain, but it was sunny until around 6 when it poured down raining. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day to paint outside!

It's 33 and literally pouring slush, then freezing overnight. Ugh.

    Welcome back to Spokane, LIZ!

Quiz for Spokanites, which would you rather have:

Your forecast, low 30s wind and precip for two days,

    Or mine:

    Sunny, high of 94 today

    Sunny high of 96 tomorrow

Given it isn't yet October, I am going with mine, but it is getting tiring.

I would give ANYTHING for a day with a high of just 87 or so.

Snow halfway down the hills in the Colville Valley. 1st time I remember that in September.

I can handle any cold...and I mean any -20 as long as there is Sun every few days.....I actually enjoy a blizzard ….I will be out this morning blowing the foot of wet snow we have and loving every minute.....

What I cannot tolerate is high heat and high humidity ...it exhausts me and the bugs spoil everything ...I am like a Pika...can't tolerate temps over 65....and I can't drive 55....

It is abnormally hot here in DC. We are still hitting the 90s with humidity. Crazy.

We also haven't had a drop of rain in 7 weeks now.

It's a big deal here, where nothing is irrigated, no one waters lawns, everything is brown brown, except my flower garden.

Upper 90s until Sunday, where our SUNDAY forecast is possible t-storms and high of 89

Salt Lake City weather this year has been delightful. The best since we've moved here in 2004.

We had a wet winter, a real spring, a summer that didn't get to hot and now we're actually having fall!!

Spring and Fall are a bit of a novelty here in SLC, usually it seems we skip them altogether.

Partly cloudy and breezy today. High will be around 59.

Mid 80s again. I'm really enjoying the nice weather so I can get home projects done during naptime, although it's been raining off and on the last week so I need to coordinate around that. I'm hoping I can get the painting done before the weekend and we can put the actual floor boards down. Right now we're missing a step, so I've been drinking.my coffee before I take the boys out to their bus. Need to stay alert or I'll probably forget about the missing step lol.

After a few days of rain, it was a nice sunny Fall day, I think it got up to the low 70s after waking up to temps in the high 40s. It was the perfect day to not bake on our front porch while I caulked the transom and front door frame. Hopefully I get time to paint it tomorrow.

High 70's today. Cold front moving in tomorrow. Had to winterize the sprinkler / drip irrigation system today. Lows in the mid 20's forecast for the next three nights. I don't want my watering system to leak like a Congressional committee come Spring. . .

(Ooh, politics. . .shame on me for using a topical simile )

My sister texted me earlier to check my cameras of my place in Spokane
specially the backyard to see if I had any tree damage... I guess, they had
    a mini ice storm.

yeah, rare so early in October.

    Here in the Bay Area.
PG&E just turned the electricity off to many towns....
I mean a lot of people. because they are afraid of the high winds
    and fires.

PG&E got sued last year and they paid plenty for those power line
    starting those fires.

So this year, they must have learned and said, you no, no more lawsuits
we will just turn off the power.

Sunny & breezy, high got up to the mid 50's

Forecast says we'll be in the mid-20's come 6am Thursday. Glad I winterized the sprinkler / drip system yesterday.

Broke the extra blanket out of the cedar chest (just in case )

GU is hosting class reunions this weekend; I suspect the outdoor venues will be pretty chilly, espcially the Saturday night "Oktoberfest" on Foley lawn. Packing my scarf, beanie, and gloves. . .

58, partly cloudy, winds starting to pick up. Forecast tomorrow calls for steady 20-30 mph winds with gusts in the 40’s

That line of thunderstorms that let loose that tornado over Dallas last night during the game is headed right over top of our house (and state).

Fortunately, it is due to arrive between 3-5, still daylight.

There is almost nothing more scary than sitting in a house in the dark, hearing the rain pound down, lighting flash, knowing there are tornados in the area, and staring at your young daughter.

Hurricanes give you plenty of heads-up. You can get away. Tornados come right on top of you, and the odds are always that they won't hit you, but it only takes once.

Plus, our net is satellite, and in a hard rain we don't have it, and have to rely solely upon the radio for reports. Fortunately, there is a very good EMS service that "wakes up" every radio/phone in the house in an emergency.

    We're doing okay.

Rained hard on us when running to grocery store, but temps are good, and no wind.

Right now it looks just like hard rain.

    Thx all
