After a few days of rain, it was a nice sunny Fall day, I think it got up to the low 70s after waking up to temps in the high 40s. It was the perfect day to not bake on our front porch while I caulked the transom and front door frame. Hopefully I get time to paint it tomorrow.

High 70's today. Cold front moving in tomorrow. Had to winterize the sprinkler / drip irrigation system today. Lows in the mid 20's forecast for the next three nights. I don't want my watering system to leak like a Congressional committee come Spring. . .

        Cold and sunny.

My dad got wet snow in Spokane and it damaged a few of his trees.

My sister texted me earlier to check my cameras of my place in Spokane
specially the backyard to see if I had any tree damage... I guess, they had
          a mini ice storm.

yeah, rare so early in October.

I mean a lot of people. because they are afraid of the high winds
          and fires.

PG&E got sued last year and they paid plenty for those power line
          starting those fires.

So this year, they must have learned and said, you no, no more lawsuits
we will just turn off the power.

Sunny & breezy, high got up to the mid 50's

Forecast says we'll be in the mid-20's come 6am Thursday. Glad I winterized the sprinkler / drip system yesterday.

Broke the extra blanket out of the cedar chest (just in case )

GU is hosting class reunions this weekend; I suspect the outdoor venues will be pretty chilly, espcially the Saturday night "Oktoberfest" on Foley lawn. Packing my scarf, beanie, and gloves. . .

That line of thunderstorms that let loose that tornado over Dallas last night during the game is headed right over top of our house (and state).

Fortunately, it is due to arrive between 3-5, still daylight.

There is almost nothing more scary than sitting in a house in the dark, hearing the rain pound down, lighting flash, knowing there are tornados in the area, and staring at your young daughter.

Hurricanes give you plenty of heads-up. You can get away. Tornados come right on top of you, and the odds are always that they won't hit you, but it only takes once.

Plus, our net is satellite, and in a hard rain we don't have it, and have to rely solely upon the radio for reports. Fortunately, there is a very good EMS service that "wakes up" every radio/phone in the house in an emergency.

                    We're doing okay.

Rained hard on us when running to grocery store, but temps are good, and no wind.

Right now it looks just like hard rain.

                    Thx all

We made it through, nothing but decent rain.

Sunny, no wind, high of 73 today.

10/24/2019 - Orange County, CA (Lake Forest/Irvine): Little too hot for my liking with sunny skies and a high of 93(!). Should drop to mid 70s and 80s this weekend.

It is cold this morning with clear skis. I took my daughter camping at Lake Wenatchee this weekend. It got really cold at night. When I woke up on Sunday morning it was 24 degrees outside. It "warmed up" to the high 40's during the day which was nice so I could take off my long johns for a while.
