    Unhappy Pictures Please .....PLEASE

So much talk about so much physical growth this summer....especially Daye, Gray and Heytvelt. And what about that intangible sign of Zagdom....the hair! Come on people, this board failing to communicate clear and certain proof via the art of digital photography, leaves me to thinking we are not stepping our games up alongside the Zags. They need us...they want us....they applaud us after games for God's sake.

We are GUNation and we are with you Zags....we'd just like to see what you look like this year!

BTW, does anyone know what's up with Poling & Foster wearing long sleaves? Is this a new style? I noticed that Foster took them off for the second half.

There can't be but a handful of guys at the D-1 level who are more athletic than Ira Brown.

Josh has some serious guns on him....

I was wondering the exact same thing. It looked really goofy to me.

Maybe because they're built like bean poles and it's a means to hide the arms. That was in initial thought.

The thing I liked about Ira in the scrimmage was that he was challenging Foster for boards at times because of his leaping ability and strength. Not to mention the dunk during the dunk contenst when he ended with his entire arm through the hoop and hung on. Man that guy can jump.

I liked during the dunk contest. Daye was up on the concourse lobbing balls down to Ira to dunk. They didn't connect so Ira tried several times. He just flipped the ball rather easily back up to Daye. Not as easy as he made it look.

Josh's leaping ability and athleticism returning is one of the most promising things that I look forward to this season.

OK, we know Will dwarfs Josh height-wise.

    But check out the hops.

It's easy if you pitched in the minor leagues for a few years. I was thinking that as I watched him throw a strike to Austin.

"Geez, that guy's got an arm... Oh yeah, he was a pitcher."

I love that pic of Meech guarding Pargo. He looks like a little terrier.

IIRC, Foster took the long sleeves off about halfway through (or later). And surprisingly, Foster doesn't look like a beanpole anymore.

Why didn't Foster jump for the tip-off? Or did I just see it wrong?

Yeah, thanks RobZag; I knew he was a pitcher, that's why so effortless. Thanks for pointing out what I shouldn't have assumed everyone else knew.

You saw it correctly, and your guess would be as good as mine.

    Default Tip-off

I watched the tip-off and there was a delay the first attempt. The ref then turned and threw the ball up very sudden I thought. Will had his back to the ref if memory serves. I think Will was just caught off guard, I don't think his not jumping had anything do with it other than that.
He seemed to be very focused and put out effort at both ends. I belive he will be a pleasant surprise this year, I hope he gets a chance.

    Default Wow

Ok so I gave myself a week to digest what I saw on saturday. Here you go..........Ira is a tank, my 3 year old took an awesome picture of him with our camera as we were going through the autograph line, fwiw, josh, micah, ira and andrew all gave my kid some dap and actually said hi to me and the little zagnut. Nice guys, all of them, at least they were smiling and having fun. Heytvelt has added some much needed bulk, and he consistently was the first big down the court on O and D. He looked pretty sharp and had a nasty put back dunk as well. Ira is a freak of nature, Daye's jumper was broken for the scrimmage but he was moving very well. Bouldin was solid as usual, same with Micah, he drained a gorgeous 22 footer that touched nothing but twine. Meech or Mooch or whatever his nickname is, it should be flash, with hops, folks he can flat jump out of the gym. He will be a spark plug like we have not seen with this speed and athleticism. I will have to add more tomorrow, im off work.
