I didn’t occur to me that UA relies on 3 freshmen. Even at home, beating a good Zag team will be tough.
I like it. You have always been guarded before and there was a noticeable change.
I was impressed by Caldwell’s confidence that he will be a Zag,
which seemed like a sea change.... but I was pretty sure I didn’t see all 50,000 posts because nobody seems to be talking about it.
I want the next great French player. We’ve had a lot of luck with those.
I feel like Caldwell buried the lede... multiple comments about Suggs committing Jan 4... Did I miss something before and this is common knowledge now? :)
I don’t think you can defend that inbounds play while facing the ball because you’d have no idea where your guy is... until he flies past you for an alley oop dunk. It seems to me that players face...
The spirit of Don Quixote is alive on the other side of the mountains. This giant UW lost to wasn’t a windmill.
The Huskies have great players. They don’t have a great team. I don’t know if they...
Reminded me of Sacre in that regard.
That oop to Kispert was a special play. He has gone from a gifted offensive player in my mind to a gifted basketball player. As mentioned before, more effort on the defensive end seems to be his...
I feel like maybe the ref thought he should have called a travel on the cross-over and let that go as a “make-good.” I hate that call. UW got away with changing pivot feet multiple times and missed...
Zags made the Huskies look like an AAU team at times. I take for granted the style of play. Kudos to the staff and the players. They dissected the zone and didn’t settle much for outside shots. It...
That was a nice play. I think I remember a very nifty pass, too....and one bad one for a turnover.
The Zags were good with their press and I imagine it would have been even better with Watson in...
If he was playing for Duke he would be all we would hear about, and deservedly so. He’s really good. His strength and balance is off the charts.
This one of the first games I can remember when the team fouled guys on the floor when they got beaten instead of fouling on the shot, further compounding the problem. This team has historically...
I get what you’re saying. It’s frustrating watching the team seemingly get away from what got them there and start taking the air out of the ball, but a lot of good coaches do it. Time is your best...
I thought he’d take another week to even see the floor. I’m glad he got some run in.
I thought this game was one of his best.
He really drew up some great stuff.
I said before the game that I didn’t expect much out of Woolridge and he played great (minus the aforementioned turnovers that I forgot about). I didn’t think...
Indeed.
I took it as, "I'd love to see him be the starter." (As in the regular starter). You could also take it as, "I'd love to see him start the next game."
I needs something specially designed by NASA, or maybe have someone sew diapers into his shirts. It's bad. At least we know he stays hydrated. I'm waiting to hear some day that he received IV fluids...
In my mind I say the Zags win but there is that as yet undiscovered law of the universe that sends the Zags out of Spokane whenever the first round is here.
Mark Few teams, aside from Syracuse,...
I like Kispert, too. I just didn’t follow his high school recruitment, aside from watching the highlights in that Pro-Am game where he lit it up.
You manage to get some great pics, btw. How long...
+1 (minus the Kispert stuff, as I have no frame of reference there)
I missed that, too. It almost seems like he is working as a sort of consultant. Interesting article. (I also didn't realize he was with Gonzaga for 9 years. Time flies...)
