Usually, the Orleans turns into Spokane South. I'm going to miss that this year.
Also, it can't be nearly the revenue maker it would be without any fans. I know they are committed to playing at...

P5 is a football term. I can't think of a season in the last many, many years where the Big East isn't better than at least one of the P5 football conferences, and usually several of them. In...
My thoughts exactly. Prior to the move to Las Vegas in 2009, the WCC Tournament was played 20 times from the inception in 1987 until 2008. Most of those were played in San Francsico, Santa Clara, Los...
It means what it said, nothing more; it wasn't disingenuous. Perhaps choose a word that means what you intended to say. No one has been dishonest. Rather, they've stated facts which have got you...
No, not disingenuous, simply a well stated fact.
The post said nothing about USF's chances in additional fictitious games against Virginia, etc.
Take it for what it is; a fact. The WCC is 2-0...
The WCC would still be the 9th toughest league if you took out the Top team from each league. The A10 and the WCC would still be very close but would switch places.
Well put. I have often had similar thoughts as I read some of the comments on this board. Moreover, the WCC is a solid league. Why belittle it? The foes we beat here are credible, and we do beat...
With all of the hype around Gonzaga, I have just been becoming aware of how deep the league is this year. It's becoming tougher all the time.
No. 1 Big 10
No. 2 Big 12
No. 3 ACC
No. 4 SEC
No....
The natural result of playing league opponents. RB and other league coaches have the benefit of studying GU tape over a period of years. They have a much better idea of tendencies, etc.
Dave cut his teeth on GU games for several years. I love it when we get him back.
#1 team in the nation vs. a good brand. It is televised--hence the timeslot.
Give Dan a break, he's a great Zag.
I am very happy for Ballo. I hope he keeps progressing, and I like the effort.
Ayayi is becoming one of my favorite players on this team full of favorites. He is always where he needs to be.
I just heard that with the various cancelations occurring, Gonzaga might be hosting BYU on Thursday.
That's an excellent win by BYU over #18 SDSU. Great for Gonzaga and the WCC as well.
The league just seems to be getting better and better.
I do like the idea of cherry picking the best of the MWC. But Boise...they have been a Top 100 team several times recently but have never won an NCAA Tournament game. Not much different than adding a...
Well stated. The WCC has been very, very good the last 3 years. With 5 teams in the current Kenpom Top 100, and even stronger in the BPI, the league is presenting multiple resume building games.

I very much agree. And Boise is struggling already. They permanently eliminated their baseball program this Summer to save money.

According to the article, it sounds like they were given at least a tacit response from the WCC that what you said--private, faith based institutions--continues to be the focus.
Although it is...
When was the last time the ACC didn't have a Top 10 in either poll? That's unusual.
basketball and other sports.

Great get! Love the respect he shows his Mom on Twitter too. Already a Zag at heart.
Just to reiterate, again; yes, Gonzaga dodged a bullet by spurning the MWC. It had a brief peak of being really good. The WCC has been, by every metric, significantly better on the court the last 2...
Great season, and yes, lost in many ways.
We sometimes take for granted what we have. Losing a post season shot with a Final 4/NC contender is brutal for anyone, but moreso for a Gonzaga, whose...
It's brutal for the WCC IMO. GU was a National Championship contender and both BYU and SMC had enough juice to advance a game, maybe two.
Tough to lose all that income.
