The Eagles....the music of my generation growing up after the exhaustion of protest and revolution and drugs an sex and rock and roll to a time of self discovery between standing on a corner in Winslow Arizona and Hotel California ....
.
I once posted that if you thought Lady Gaga sucked than you might be as wrong as I was and posted a duet with Sting that people loved.
So after yesterday there's not a lot of doubt she's got talent, why not a song for Sting from the Kennedy Center Honors?
She kicks a lot of ass

Yep. Loved the early Eagles when they had Don Felder and Bernie Leadon. When their songs were somewhat Country rock. Then Bernie left. Still, one of the all time great groups. What harmony! Miss you, Glenn.

A bit slow, but has a nice groove to it. Off a brand new EP. Some of the members are originally from Tacoma I think.

Crown of Thorns - Mother Love Bone
Going back to my GU days... loved this group back then. There IS a video of this song live at Bumbershoot from 1989 but the camera work makes it hard to watch. RIP Andrew... to think what would have been (well first and foremost, no Pearl Jam).

I didn't find out about it til I was doing a deep dive on Hoopla, but Gillian Welch and David Rawlings released an album last summer covering some of their favorite songwriters and some old standards. They were just messing around in a home studio, several of the songs they recorded in one take.

"Witchcraft" - Frank Sinatra
CS&N
Suite: Judy Blue Eyes
Good one. To be honest, I don't often listen to music. My tinnitus makes it different somehow...but when I am working at the store, alone, I often go to YouTube and put music on. CSN&Y, Bonnie Raitt, Eagles etc. Just background noise that I know well enough that I don't have to strain to hear. The sounds get through the whistles and I can enjoy it.
