raining super hard
no rain for the first time since I could remember, but looks like it won't last long
Took a brief detour on my way to the grocery store. Hadn't gotten out and about for a few days. Walked to a spot near my neighborhood

That prominent terrain feature in the far background is BLM land, the Pah Rah Range

The smog layer over Reno seen in this snapshot is fairly typical this time of year.
The twin high rises are the Nugget Hotel Casino, in Sparks. The high rise on the right edge is the Grand Sierra Resort, in Reno, at the junction I-80 / US-395.
Wind gusts tonight are supposed to hit 34-45mph.
Thinking of my Spokane peeps tonight as they are getting clobbered by old man winter

5" so far here north of Spokane, with another 1-3 for tonight, 1 tomorrow and 1-3 Sat night. 1 more inch on Sunday, then it will get cold...below zero overnight.
Wed it warms slightly, and we get back into the 1-3 or 1" for the next 14+ days and nights.
The 24th is the first day w/o snow in the forecast, and 14 days out, who really knows.
Beautiful pics.
Spokane getting clobbered by winter storm.
Here, I wake up to 73 degrees, but overcast and windy.
In 2 hours it will get extremely serious. Almost the entire state is taken up with orange and red radar, a red squall line is supposed to hit at about 9:00 a.m. and we'll lose TV, Net, for a few hours, likely, of hard rain and hard wind.
Tornados broke out bad in Texas, Louisiana last night, and as I have said before, tornados are just random terror. Highly unlikely to impact you, but highly likely to impact someone as the storm goes through. Totally random chance.
I don't like them. Not used to worrying about them.
Have a great day, all. I'll be off soon for a while

I guess they do it in all caps so we can hear them better. . .
woke up to snow today, but it was all gone by 10 AM
4" of snow from bedtime to wake-up time this morning.
Currently 19 degrees.
sunny, windy, and cold
I have to do this, bc I suffered all summer.
It was 76 today and partly cloudy. I had shorts and flip flops, turned on the AC when I went to the store.
Supposed to cool down next week into upper 50s.
65, sunny, no wind.
Perfect.
Played 9 holes.
Walked.
Had the course all to myself.
62, Sunny. We have not had any measurable precipitation the entire month of February.
I'm actually watering my back lawns.

Rainy and gloomy after a sunny but cold weekend. It's a good day to watch some good movies and drink warm drinks.
Sunny, 78, light breeze, just watered my flowers that I put in 2 weeks ago.
God I love my little flower garden.
light snow :(
Sunny, low 60's, slight breeze. Nice day to putter in the yard.
It's been super nice for a couple weeks other than Saturday, but today looks kind of gloomy. Looking at the forecast it looks like we will be going back to more normal spring time weather.
It's 90° with a high of 94 today. The whole week is supposed to be in the 90s, it was in the 90s all weekend and some of last week. I don't remember the last time it rained. I think I'm going to put the sprinkler on for the kids this afternoon because the grass needs a drink badly. I'm barely getting sleep at night because I have to chose between not sleeping because it's too hot or not sleeping because the portable AC unit is so loud. I imagine at some point this week I'll just pass out with the AC on one night from exhaustion lol.
Blue skies smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies do I see
We pretty much dodged Isis or whatever its name is. It rained pretty good for several hours, but that was it. No real winds or local flooding. Just a little to the north of us in Maryland they had tornado warnings. Lower laying areas have flash flood warnings, but I basically got a reprieve from watering my lawn for a few days.
mid 90's, clear skies. good golf weather
It's snowing, we're going to have a White Christmas!
Merry Christmas guys :o
Rain, expected to turn to snow around 6:00pm, with steady snow until Friday morning.
For the first time in many years I had to break out the snow shovel three mornings this week. Am hoping for a 4th tomorrow (we'll take all the precipitation we can get )
Sunny, windy, temps in low 50's. Did some deadheading in the garden today around 2 o'clock. Fely good to be outside, puttering around.
Not a big fan of winter. . .
