cold for the first time in a long time - I love it

62 degrees overcast
Snow overnight and all day...about 10" on the ground... forest fires, smoke and evacuations last month..... snow this month...life in the Cascades...
LOVE IT....
Cold, windy, currently dry. . .Donner Pass has had chain requirements most of the day.
Keeping my fingers crossed they get the Giants - Cardinals game played today.
It is a warm cool wet ,dry day.
Going to get wet, and might get white tonight.......

And wood stove weather. Note Queen Latifah in the copper boiler we use for kindling and cardboard for the stove. She's pushed the boxes out to make room.

We had snow yesterday, too. The earliest I remember seeing snowflakes in the past is on Halloween. It just seems too soon.

I think last year in mid October we had a dusting of snow here.
