Anyone watching Mich St. going to 2nd overtime against a D2 team? Looks more and more like these exhibition games aren't a gimme (even with the refs helping out).

OK, Emporia State better scare the Zags now.
i watched the first half. if it had not have been fo
r the officals grand valley would have been up by 15 at the half. for some reason the media loves michigan state. over all the big 10 sucks. if you don't believe me just wait until the ncaa tournament and you will see. they will have 6 or 7 teams in and after the first round they will have 1 or 2 teams left. then i can say,i told you so.
me i
tough year for michigan schools playin 1AA teams.........i think its kinda funny. media and sports people are always high heaven for mighigan and michigan state and then they pull this off. sure glad mark few knows W's have to be earned and are not given out w/talent alone.
Apparently Grand Valley put a real scare into MSU last season as well. I wouldn't have wanted to face Tom Izzo in the locker room after tonight's game.
In other related news, Kevin Love had 15 and 12 in his UCLA debut as the Bruins blasted Azusa Pacific:

How many batteries does it take to shock any Michigan school?
One double-A.

LOL Baldwin!
The only thing I enjoyed about the Mich. St. game was that it was a college b-ball game and it was a chance to try out my new DISH and High-Def. t.v. Both worked perfectly. Now I just need to wait until the 11th to actually see the Zags play! :D
Congrats Radbooks on your new toys. It is a fun time of year of All Zags Fans. :p
David's stats for the evening: 17 min, 1-6 fg (2 pt), 4 rebounds and 1 blocked shot.
Not the kind of excitement that Izzo wanted this early in the season but it still is a game that does not count.
The good thing about it for Mich St. is that Izzo has their attention for awhile and they probably won;t overlook a team for at least a few more weeks.
It sounds as though some officials are all ready in mid season form protecting the big boys
I have to give a shoutout to the Nebraska Wesleyan PrarieWolves as well. We are a D3/NAIA division that finished near last in our conference last year. We were tied with Nebraska at halftime, 30 all. Eventually, we lost. Either way, the biggest upset ever in pre-season history almost occured out here in Lincoln, NE.
chris allen led michigan st in scoring with 15. i watched him play all throughout high school and he's the real deal. he's going to be a stud this year for the spartans. looks like the only bright spot though
