    St. Lucia Zags?

    Hey all,

I just got home from my honeymoon in St. Lucia in the Carribean. As I'm getting off the plane last Monday night, I see a guy with a Gonzaga hat on the plane. I never had a chance to talk to him but our web is growing. If it was someone on this board, give me a shout out.

Question: Where is the most remote place you've seen GU gear? (not on someone in your traveling party)

    First mention....St. Lucia

I bought (on campus) 2 t-shirts for the two sons of a business associate who lives in B. Aries, Argentina. The sons are big basketball fans (locally) and had been after their dad to buy them some pro-team shirts like Bulls. I told him they needed shirts for a real basketball team not the pro variety! I have not seem the boys wearing them but I bet they have. BTW I once saw a Bulls cap for sale in a tiny little store in a tiny village near the Nicaragua/Honduras border!

Also congrats to you and the new Mrs. 23dpg!

I saw GU logo hats on sale in a Nike store in Nuremburg, Germany.

I swear, my wife has the largest collection of Gonzaga sweatshirts/tee shirts, and she wears one almost everyday. We went to Las Vegas and she wore one every day.

Kind of ironic considering last March, but an old Navy buddy sent me an Indiana University basketball tee shirt recently. It really is a cool looking shirt, but I just can't seem bear wearing it .

Over here in Europe i've seen some Zags stuff not on GU kids studying abroad. In Florence, I saw a young kid (5 or 6)with a GU t-shirt on, as well as a high schooler who was on Spring Break. It was nice to see a little bit of home in a foreign country.

Jerusalem, Israel and Seoul, South Korea. My wife and I both wore Zags stuff when we lived in those two places and we gave some stuff to people there who wear it today.

If you are going to be in Ireland this September and see someone stumbling around wearing this:

be sure to introduce yourself! I picked it up for $19.95 at Spokane International in late April and applied the savings to an over-priced pre-flight Bloody Mary - the only bargain I've ever found in any airport in any city.
