As CDC mentioned in another thread, if Texas beats KU and UNC takes care of business, GU will have beaten the Big 12 and ACC reg season champs. That's got to be worth something to the NCAA selection com.

So here's to slick Bill Self's boys imploding a week earlier than usual. It is going to be a good weekend for b'ball.

Of course, I hope all my obsessing on other teams' records/resumes becomes irrelevant with a Zag victory on Monday.

I should mention that UNC and Texas might share those conference titles with other teams if they win out.......

We won with Heytvelt in the lineup.

Not going to help with the committee I'm afraid.

Right Brass. The committee will show no mercy to the Zags if they don't take care of business. As much as I hate the subjectivity of the system, it will not matter how UNC, Texas, Stanford or any other of our opponents finishes.

Beating Memphis would have eased things a bit.

OTOH, Zags beat those teams without Downs.

While we can actually now see the growing relevancy of Zags minus Downs, I wonder if the selection committee will be so well-learned. It seems to me his showcase games were only locally/regionally televised.

Does it seem to anyone else, that GU is projected all over the place for at-large? Hubert Davis says in. Gary Parrish on CBS doesn't even say bubble. In the case of an at large decision, this year will set a precedent, but, then again, GU is one of a kind.

84-77 GA Tech over UNC. Nevada also lost to UTEP 79-77. At least Memphis and Virginia won.
