Top Teams don't turn the ball over like GU!

Yes playing hard for 40 minutes and killer instinct are two traits that the top teams have but the other missing piece is the number of turn overs. The long passes across court or passing the ball without the sharp crispness needed just allows the defense to step in and away they go for another 2...

    Memphis 13.2 average
    Kansas 12.9 average
    Tennessee 12.5 average
    Zags 14.2 average

This is lack of focus and going back to the basics... WE MUST PROTECT THE BALL IF WE WANT TO GO TO THE BALL!

12 turnovers against Memphis is a good sign, and very encouraging. It's the 21 pts off those turnovers that Memphis scored that was the problem.

      zagfan,

I agree that 12 turnovers against Memphis is encouraging considering their intensity, athleticism, and the environment we were playing in. I would add though that it seemed of those 12, half of them were just plain avoidable (as FrosT pointed out....long passes across the court, weak passes around the perimeter).
